The town very nice with good facilities being coop and pharmacy etc, thr beach maybe good summer time but mid March very quicksand area andvery rocky to the water in the distance, we didn't bother this time of year very slippy. The car parking can only described as awful, very big sharp stones, much a tyre killer and believe £2 a car to park we stopped prior to the cattle grid, if gets busy neighbours may get a bit peeved, nice village/town narrow roads,

Silverdale Beach is not quite the beach some would expect. The sandy mud flats stretch out across Morecambe Bay a haven for bird and wildlife. The beach is clean white limestone rocks and some Saltmarsh turf. Walking is amazing in the area but watch our for fast incoming tides. Parking is good, take a picnic and spend the day exploring.

Beautiful spot. Great for a stop over. Check the tides as it does change quickly. Tenner to stop the night. Handy for visiting Silverdale. Highly recommended. Please remember to pay, be considerate, no fires, no bbq, no noise and don’t stay too long. Spend some money in this welcoming community.

Went to have an early evening picnic with family, just off the carpark on the grassed area. Paid Ā£2 in honesty box for parking. As soon as we were settled and about to start eating and relaxing, a shirtless man came over to us and informed us that the carpark and grassed area, down to the sand was owned by him; and that he lived in the end terraced house, that looked over the carpark. He made us feel uncomfortable. He left us to move a mini digger, then randomly returned again to perform some tricks with his black lab Stanley, after it had pee’d next to our picnic blanket. He told us that he was having anpr traffic cameras fitted to the carpark and people would be fined Ā£100 if they didn’t pay for parking. The carpark is in an awful state of disrepair. Not sure if he genuinely owned the land or he was just the village idiot, but he certainly made us feel unwelcome. We won’t...

We stayed a week in a cottage on the shore - it was peaceful, relaxing and beautiful. The beach isn't for bathing - it's a tidal estuary which looks different every day and the sunsets are amazing. Tony, the guy mentioned in a previous review, was great. Full of interesting information about the area and things to look out for. He worked hard all week keeping everything looking tidy - a thankless task with the attitude of some people. If you're looking for some peace and tranquility then Siverdale will give you that but if you're looking for a seaside holiday with entertainment, swimming and ice creams - this isn't the...

What an absolute disgrace....upon entering the carpark (if you can call it a carpark) I noticed all the signs they have put up..I went over to read the signs to which I didn't agree with their terms and conditions (parking eye) so I left....5 whole minutes I was there reading the sign. Today I received a fine for £100 for my 5 minutes...apparently the landowners and parking eye think I have cost them over a full 2 weeks worth of parking for the 5 minutes I was there...i will be fighting this all the way to court...never again will I vist silverdale...go half hour down the road to morcambe...much more...
