#leedswestindiancarnival is held here every year. It is now 50 years old and I have good memories of this park. As a child I played there. As a teenager we went there every Sunday. The girls sat on the hill and watched the boys play football. This year thousands of people filled the park for #leedswestindiancarnival50thanniversary2017 . The music festival on Sunday was well attended with local, national and international musicians and singers.    Read moreLovely quiet park in a busy surrounding area. It has a bowling green, children's playground and a skatepark. New trees have been planted in the past few weeks by Leeds City Council gardeners. Lots of pathways to walk round with intermittent benches and bins. There are two parrot type birds nesting here, one escaped and its owners come and visit but has lived in the park for at least 2 years. There are no public toilets or cafe onsite. The park is full of squirrels and lots if birds including blue Jay's. There are multiple entrances to the park and its users range from dog walkers to families. ...
