This is not a swimmung beach, ok for bucket and spades, a nice beach to walk along with splendid views accross the estury looking at whitford light house and the North Gower to the left, Burry Port and Pembrey to the right. kite surfing on beach and sea, there is paddle boarding in nearby Noth Dock and an excellent large play area by car park for toddlers to age 10. There are dunes to walk amoungst too. The Millenium costal path goes from here to Burry Port and beyond with plenty to see along the route. Read moreThe beach spans out miles and miles on the coast line, mostly sandy beach but some areas have a little bit more rocky surfaces too. The beach is easy accessible with wheelchairs and mobility scooters on the wide pavement, with plenty benches. In most areas swimming is not allowed, but also I must mention, it is quiet difficult to adjust to the hide tide, which could enable visitors to have their foot dipped in it. The beach has no birds, which is a major sign of low waters and low to no wildlife around here. It is still a relaxin place, but apart from St. Elli's Bay there are no places to buy drinks, icecream, food, or use toilets...
Read morePleasant enough, great views, reasonable car parking (not a rip off like Swansea charges), cleaned of litter regularly, cold shower available to wash off the sand, ice creams, coffee and other food. The cycle path goes along this as a really good (easy, wide track) ride from the Loughor bridge to Pembrey via Burry Port. The only catch is that Carmarthenshire have a 'welcome dog' policy which can be very dangerous with some selfish owners with large dogs which cannot be easily controlled.
