The Greenfield Inn — Restaurant in Wales

This is the email I sent regarding my meal and have had no response after 2 weeks

Good evening,

As you didn't give us the opportunity to complete our conversation earlier,  I felt it would be easier to email you so that you could read it at your leisure.

We came for our meal which we pre booked, so you were expecting a party of 4.

The waitress asked our requirements and we all ordered,  my mum asked her if she would write it down as we all wanted slightly different.

Prior to her taking the order my mum asked was the turkey "real", as in not processed. The waitresses replied yes.

The waitress took the orders down and we asked for extra gravy, which wasn't a problem for the waitress.

We ordered the following:

Person 1 turkey, a sausage , Carrots peas, swede potatoes, Yorkshire, parsnips, stuffing and gravy.

Person 2 turkey, potatoes, carrots, peas, swede Yorkshire and gravy.

Person3 turkey and beef, roast pots, swede, Carrots, peas, stuffing, parsnips, and gravy

Person4 turkey and beef all the veg apart from beans.

What was brought to the table was a gravy boat and mint sauce and the food for 2 people followed about 15 min after, by this time the gravy was cold.  They also had swede, Carrots and peas missing from their food and the meat was minimal and looked like scraps of meat,  also person 1 had a bone in her food, to which you replied "lucky you", quite unprofessional really.

The other 2 meals arrived approx 30 mins later(check your camera).

Again one had chicken when turkey was offered and again you unprofessionally said that there wasn't turkey on today, however that's what your staff offered.

Aren't we lucky that no one had an allergy to chicken or it would be a whole different matter for you to deal with.

The other had a lump of beef rather than a slice and again you unprofessionally said "i don't know why you have half a cow on your plate, as I bought a new meat slice for £450 ".

We also queried the price as it was advertised as 2 caveries for £12 and we were informed that everyone asks the same but that's not the price.

We paid £40 for this dining experience, which you were happy to say that it was to the required standard.

So clearly this is a complaint that I would like to to look into formally rather than walk away in the middle of a conversation, and I look forward to your...

After looking on another review site we chanced this place and so glad we did. Don't be put off by the outside not looking very inviting because once inside the barstaff were very welcoming. I ordered a surf and turf which was beautiful steak cooked perfectly nice amount of scampi a choice between chip, fries and jacket spud which was cooked fine. and a nice size portion. My daughter had a adult size chicken burger as no burgers on the children menu. That came with fries and coleslaw. My partner had the mixed grill, steak, pork chop, gammon, sausage, fried egg, black pudding, fries peas, onion rings, fried tomatoes and mushrooms. (Think that was everything) mum in law had sirloin steak cooked to perfection which mum choose jacket spud too. Reasonable bill price lots to choose from over all on the menu. On street parking during certain times 8-6pm arrive for 6...

Terrible food and service. Only one serving at the bar even though there was a line of nearly 1p waiting. Waited 40 minutes for our food to be passed over peoples heads (I worked in catering that is a NO) our food had the kitchen tickets IN THE FOOD. Cheap Tesco food one of my party had cheese sauce it was mostly boiling water with melted cheese. Left out part of our order. When we questioned the waitress we were told that the coleslaw only came with the chicken meals. We had ordered nothing but chicken. Rude untrained teens. AVOID...
