To start off, I have not visited the brasserie, hence I cannot give any feedback other than it looks elegant and classy. The rest of the park is lovely and charming at places. Great place to explore with many hidden delights... But you do have to use your imagination to fully exploit the premises. Great for picnics and I recall someone having a portable BBQ two years ago (deffo check before you take that on). The area is bigger that it looks surrounded by uneven and vaguely defined borders which at times blend wonderfully with back gardens from surrounding houses. There is a small lake and a bird cage but I have not seen a public toilet (not that those go together). Just opposite the lake there is an open courtyard cascading downwards with benches flanking the walkway. At the end of which there is a small green for putting if you fancied a bit of golf. All in all, a lovely place to visit, and great...

We are very lucky to have such a beautiful park, and it's at its most stunning in the spring when azaleas and rhododendrons are in bloom. Whoever planned it all out has truly given us a gift to last...

Well maintained and not as busy as the common on a sunny day (although still pretty busy). Whereas with the common you still get cars etc. driving around, here you could well be in the middle of the countryside, with a nice manor-style house in the background, big winding lawns, woods, ponds/lakes - there's also plenty to explore as well. The council used to do summer live music here but last year they stopped, so here's hoping it'll be...
