This soft play is ok, fairly basic with 2 or 3 main routes up to the 2 slides and then back down. Ok for kids under the age of 5/6 I'd say. But for what's on offer it's expensive for an 1.45 hour play, there's other soft plays within 20 mins which are 3 or 4 times the size for a similar cost. Having never been before (attended with as part of a party, although not an organised party at the venue) I found the entry system a little odd. We waited until 10 to enter (meaning unless you're first inline this eats into your play session) the entry gate was left open with a member of staff there but a dog from a passer by managed to get into the venue which isn't safe. Not sure why they don't just open and close the gate after each group has entered. I also think they need to work on food availability. They had lots of sweets at kids eye level and crisps visible but not too much in the way of encouraging healthy eating for kids. They also closed the kitchen at 11am in the session starting at 10am which when I tried to just get a sandwich for my child at 11.10 was told it was too late, which I find not very child centric - i was told by the staff they made an announcement however if they did it was so quiet and impossible to hear for the parents engaging with their kids in the softplay. You're not allowed to bring food in yourself so this is pretty poor to not offer anything other than snacks at lunch time. Most of the younger girl staff definitely make you feel like you're inconveniencing them by asking for a coffee and didn't offer any alternative when turning me down for any lunch for my child who was visibly upset, especially while watching the children who were there in the party area still have food bought out to them till about 11.30. Was just a strange vibe and unfortunately due to this it made it a more stressful experience than I'd hoped and it wouldn't be somewhere I'd rush back to. As a mum of 2 (2.5 and 4 year old boys) I attend places like this regularly and I need them to be safe, easy and engaging and this venue didn't hit my expectations...
Read moreDo not go for kids birthday party with Crazy Club because they are awful! We had a party there just last weekend; we booked my son’ party 3 months in advance , we went to Crazy club to discuss with the people there and paid £100 deposit- we wanted to know details about menu and party bags but we were told they are still discussing things but that they will call us once they know - no one called. I called 3 weeks before the event wanting to discuss details and to know when we needed to confirm numbers - I was told that someone will call me 2 weeks before the party - no one called. I called 1 week before the event, explained why I was calling - I was told the person in charge of parties will call me back - no call. We went to the venue the following day, it was Saturday, again- to discuss - we were told they are busy and that we should send an email. We went home and sent an email - no one answered - we actually had to get hold of the phone number of one of the owners and ask him to provide an answer to that email that we were asked to write. On the evening before the event I got a call from the manager of the venue wanting to know which menu we will go with, if cold or warm (was not aware such an option existed until that point) and to ask for my son’s name and age(I don’t know why because the party room was not personalised in any way, so not sure why it was necessary to have his name and age). On the day of the party we were given an empty room- with a stack of plates. They brought the food on platers and dumped it on the tables - no cutlery, no napkins, nothing. We also asked for food platters for adults- the same, they were brought and dumped there, one of the platters was with salad, there wasn’t even a spoon to scoop out the salad of the platter - I guess we should have come with our own cutlery. I asked for extra plates and we were brought some dirty ones from the kitchen which I had to take back. They took forever to cut the cake, by the time the first pieces were cut the guests already started leaving the venue... all in all, very...
Read moreI recently hosted my daughter's birthday party at Crazy Club Softplay area, and while the play area itself is a nice little spot where the kids had a great time, several issues left much to be desired.
Communication and Staffing: The most frustrating part of the experience was the lack of communication. After booking, it was nearly impossible to get in touch with them. We had to call at least six times over a week and eventually had to visit in person just to confirm details a week before the party. The staff seemed overworked and unable to handle queries efficiently, which is concerning for a place that hosts children's events.
Hygiene and Food Quality: During the party, we were given wet glasses for the toddlers. While they appeared clean, it felt unhygienic to serve drinks in wet glasses. The food was another major disappointment. The hot food platter, priced at £16 per child, was a total waste. It consisted of small, cold, and hard pieces of pizza with some old chips. Only one out of eight children managed to finish their platter, and we ended up discarding most of it. The adult pizza platter, costing £40, was dry, tasteless, and not worth the money.
Play Area and Time Management: On a positive note, the play area, though small, was decent, and the kids enjoyed themselves. However, the time allotted for the party—1 hour and 45 minutes—felt too tight. We were constantly rushing to manage everything, despite paying a premium for the venue. It would be beneficial if they allowed more time for setup and exit.
Overall, while the kids had fun, the experience was marred by poor communication, inadequate staffing, and subpar food quality. I hope Crazy Club Softplay area addresses these issues to improve future experiences for...
