I searched all the Indians in the area and chose this one, Firstly the price and secondly the 'old school' mentions in previous reviews.

So glad I came here , it's propa decent.

Lamb chops starters , best I've ever had !

Had a chef special curry which was lovely, perfect amount of flavor and spices, wasn't full of salt like others I've experienced.

Nann bread was hot and tasty

Oh yeah , you get the propa dips , not the illuminated coloured dips other restaurants skimt on.

They spend money on food and ingredients not on a refurbished, as I reckon it's early 90's some of the features which is brilliant , I bet the wooden food trolley has been around for a while.

Came on a Wednesday and all tables full ,so that just goes to show how good it's is.

Definitely coming back here when in the area.

Really disappointing. Ordered a takeaway from here this evening, and all the food was just so poor. The naan was mediocre and slightly stale, and the curries were sweet? Felt more akin to ordering a Chinese. My partner ordered a Rogan Josh, and it tasted like a sweet korma. My order - garlic chilli chicken - tasted like a sweet and sour stir fry. There was no mention in the listing that these curries would be sweet.

The chicken itself was the worst part - it was so chewy. Neither of us ate our chicken. It's quite evidently been sat in a pan on low heat all day, and not been made fresh to order. Real shame, as we try to order local and support local businesses, but that was one of the worst takeaways I've had in a while.

We just live near this area and thought of trying this place and took a take away just few items as it was a trial. Just few roti, chana masala and veg fried rice. Apart from Veg fried rice all were good. The oil was very smelly and couldn't eat the fried rice. The oil tasted, as if the oil was used from the pakoda or bhaji pan. I tried contacting the restaurant to inform them, even though it was a small order because I just wanted to let them know. And he is saying nobody has complaint in last 30 yrs. It may not be true. So I just wanted update it here. So at least they know someone is not happy...
