I've lived in this area for the past 30 years and i'm going to have to be honest, there's a huge part of me that feels upset with the way the park has been treated over the many years. It used to be a very beautiful park, even more so during summer. But since i've had my walk abouts, specially through the park, i've seen neglect in some areas of the park. Specially near where i live.

The little snack bar has changed, it does look nice than it did before, but to see the wall and the trees that used to be beside it, all gone. It brought a tear to my eye. It looks terrible now and it was so sad to see an area i used to walk past in the early days to go to school, all taken down for something that just looks so out of place.

One half of the park gets cut, the other side has been neglected where the grass is over grown. In the early days, the whole park used to get cut, now its 1 half and the other half gets ignored. When in the good areas of the park, it does look lovely, but for the other park, it just looks terrible. It's nice and big, lots of forests to enter which when i was a kid, i used to use a lot. I'm also glad the lake has been seen too as there was an area that seemed to be full of junk in my days that got left for so long, if i remember correctly, it was reported in the news paper for being a serious health hazard.

I do hope the park improves over time. It's certainly not the same which sucks, but can be nice to walk through as long as you don't go through the areas that have been...

Attended the Festival yesterday 14th August 2021. What an amazing afternoon and evening. The entertainment was fantastic for all ages and everyone joined in dancing, singing. Lots for kids to do which was nice as they didn't get bored. Plenty of stalls to get food, ice cream etc... Bar was reasonably price and plenty of drink to go round. Well organised and plenty of Security and Police there which made u feel really safe. Bag checks I thought was good as well. Always worry about toilets but even more so with Covid. To my surprise they were clean and toilet roll makes a change. Plenty of Sanitizer in and around event. Cleaning staff in and around event grounds Excellent. No Rubbish left around ground after event. Because of safety regards Covid there wasn't as many people but was nice . Next year should b more people. Definitely will b going next year and would recommend this event to anyone with or without kids. Or even for people on there own would enjoy this.

With the Covid still about very well organised as I said. Well done to everyone involved with...

This large open park has lots to offer the local community.

There is many activities on offer here including tennis courts, children's play area, large boating lake and skateboard area.

If fitness is what you are looking for, there is a running path that will take your around the park. During your run there are there are stop points that have obsticals. I believe there is also a local triathlon club that use the pool, park and lake.

Attached to the park is the local leisure centre and local cricket club.

On bank holidays hosts a fair and circus.

When walking around the park you will also notice many signs that will inform you of the local wide life.

There is many places to park...

I visited the park because of its wonderful, friendly, parkrun. For connoisseurs of parkrun, Harrow Lodge parkrun is that rare animal: a single lap course! It's run on a mixture of grass/mud and concrete paths. It took me five minutes to park, but only because the pigeons wouldn't move! The cafe, Lakeview Palace, was doing a roaring trade. The park is a haven for wildfowl, with its river and large lake. Garden for the Blind, a sensory experience for blind and autistic people, adjoins the park, and is next to the modern sports centre

A very large park with wonderful features. Children's Play Area, Zip Line, Basketball Court, Football Pitches, Lake, Cafe, small Skatepark, restricted Bowling Club, Walking Footpath and lots of open space & woods. 3 car parks at Upper Rainham Road, Warren Drive, Hornchurch Road - almost each corner of the park make it easy for everyone to access the amenities at the park. Very Good for cycling, walking, jogging, running and playing sports or just relax!

Great park, with well maintained foot paths and a pretty lake. Good for a stroll! This is a well located park, with multiple entrances in Hornchurch and Elm Park. It’s close to Elm Park town centre and also fairly close to Hornchurch town centre too so you can just get a bus and then walk, or park in the free car parks. There’s a lovely boating lake in the middle with a good Cafe and a lot of birds and wildlife around.
