Hilly Fields is a great place to walk and enjoy a bit of fresh air. Plenty of shade in the trees at the top of the hill, and then nice walks down to the river at the bottom (great place for dogs to cool off!). You can also cross Clay Hill if you want to walk further as this gives access to Whitewebbs (golf course, but lovely woods beyond), and also through to Forty Hall park. If you get up early and walk along the river at the bottom of Hilly Fields, the birdsong is amazing.... hopefully it will stay this way as...
Read moreWith a meandering stream and lots of mature trees, this park is perfect for families that love getting into nature. Large enough for children to go exploring without getting lost and a great place for dog walkers and bird spotters. It gets very muddy in places in winter and the hills maybe too steep for some. But for the fit, this park is very pleasing. There is also a pub opposite for a relaxing drink after, or for before heading into Forty Hall grounds. :) Great place for a day out...
