Absolutely love that you can stand under this railway bridge and watch on a rainy day, the droplets fall in chain reaction as the train passes... Or seeing the lit up train passing over at night, or over a sunset with a pint from The Bulls Head pub on a warm fuzzy summer evening; Something magical for a city train nerd.

What can I tell you? The Kew Railway Bridge carries the TfL District Line and London Overground over the River Thames. There's no pedestrian access but Kew Bridge is only a few minutes walk away.

I wouldn't go here for the bridge There is really very little to see or do here. There is quite a nice walk along the Thames, but it's about a mile downstream before you get anywhere. Upstream you are fairly close to Kew pier where you can catch a tourist boat up or down the Thames. If you walk inland, the bridge is next to the public records office at Kew and about 15mins from Kew Gardens. The bridge itself doesn't seem anything special. The path goes below the bridge and you don't seem much of the trains. The trains are either District Line underground trains or the Overground service previously called the North...

One of the least attractive Thames bridges.

Positioned far enough away from the road bridges to experience some peace and quiet by the riverside, unfortunately the noise of the regular train service is very intrusive.

If a footbridge could be attached to the structure, this would provide a very useful additional route to access the Kew Retail Park, Kew village and the Records Office on the south bank. Also to Strand on the Green, Grove Park and Chiswick mainline on the north bank.

The convenience of the footbridge would go some way towards off setting the...

Told we only had the table for 1hr 40mins as we arrived. It wasn’t busy. We were left alone but had to find someone for more drinks, deserts and request the bill on 3 separate occasions. Food ok. Restaurant was cold and we deducted some of the service charge that was added to the bill. Ideal location near Paddington Station and canal. Don’t think I...
