I had mixed experiences. From hate to support. Not sure how to feel about it. There are people who support others and people who just have a go at you. It seems that everyone has very different opinions and makes their own faith. Some people choose to help others, some choose to hate and kick out anyone who they don't like. Once I was told to go away because I wasn't welcomed by the head priest. Other times people helped me and were friendly. I would say that I don't feel comfortable coming there. Reason is you don't know what to expect during your visit. Someone can be very rude to you and aggressive. Other times people will help you and support you. During liturgy some helpers might talk and say whatever they have on their mind ignoring their own sign that condemns anyone who talks during liturgy. I don't feel comfortable and can't pray there. It allows confession and commmunion often which are important rituals which is a plus and father Vitaly isn't bad as other reviews say. He is very helpful. Some other people are just distant and don't care and can be hateful. I have seen other russian orthodox churches but they were calmer and you could actually feel comfortable coming there and pray because people wouldn't bother you. They would respect the fact that the liturgy is going on and that God is being praised. Would not say that here everyone thinks this way here. They would be respectful and friendly in other churches. Here it is chaotic doesn't seem to be rules that people follow. Some replies to comments are weird and say we don't offer dental services in our church to a lady who was just complaining that she felt unwelcome. Not sure if they have dentists there among the community who just like to joke that people feel unwelcome. Seems that the church isn't really well managed by the head priest or Vladyka how they call him. To me church is important but don't know if here you can actually feel comfortable to pray. Although i spoke about it and had support i still hesitate because i don't really admire the idea of meeting someone from the helpers whose ideas aren't really Christian impose their...

Thank you so much, because my soul has followed with your singing. There are Love ,respect and warm welcome ! Thank you to all! Only one problem, some new people doesn’t respect this rule to keep quiet and concentrate their attention to the prayer. Them children are being nosy and mothers are happy with it;(, as also they are do not think about the liturgy and talking all the time in during of the praying. Please don’t let them be nosy and rude to others. God bless all who are in this Church all for each other! 🙏 and together...
Read moreFirst Russian Orthodox Church to be erected in the UK. It is an awesomely beautiful building both inside and out. White exterior walls with the most amazing blue onion dome with gold stars with a gold cross atop of it. Over the entrance is a beautiful gold background icon. It's interior is stunning ; Lots of very beautiful icons painted on the walls and the interior of the dome. Suspended centrally from the dome is a mahoosive circular candelabra with candles lighting up the ceiling. Well worth a peek within as exceedingly aesthetically pleasing. Nearest tube/overground is...
