May not be many peoples choice to visit on a whim, but I was drawn to this Crematorium today. Everything looked so fresh and bursting Spring. So peaceful, definitely a place to recharge. For myself, it made me realise how lucky I am, with so much going on in the world, that I could walk in such a beautiful place and be at peace.

Not really much, I can say about a cemetery.Opening hours up until 4 pm, the gate closes 15 minutes before it shuts.

Don’t bury your loved ones here, honestly taking 6 months or more to get them to grant permission for my grandparents stone to be put on the grave. They change their rules and regulations on what your allowed on the grave and they don’t update people who have brought graves so when you go to them with a design of the headstone that’s when they tell you that your not allowed the most simple things like a heart shaped stone. Not all their rules and regulations are on their website so you don’t know what these are till they decline your headstone design and send you a different regulations form they have that is completed different to the one on their website. The Lack of communication from the bereavement service is horrific, there meant to be there to help but instead ignore emails and delay permits for graves for stones to be made even though they have been sent this by email so many times by myself and my stone maker. Never known a bereavement service to act so poorly to people who are only just trying to put a stone on their loved one’s grave. Yeah comments below show how lovely the trees and everything look but that means nothing, just don’t bury loved ones here if you don’t want to be delayed in making stones and wanna be able to know what exactly the rules and regulations are here and have effective communication with the people who are meant to be helping you mourn your loved ones and allow you to have a safe reliable space to bury your loved ones as you wish to. You also have to email in and complain for them to come and cut the grass as it grows taller than you. They then tell you that they will only come and cut around your loved ones graves as they don’t have staff to do the whole section and think about how much money they make from burials here. Absolutely disgusting, 3.7 stars is way too good for this cemetery. You have to put a star to write a comment if not they would...

Almost a year ago our loving mother was buried at Lambeth Cemetery. The service and the burial went well. It was a nice final resting place for our mother and I have been there from time to time to put some new flowers and spent time with her. The reason I am giving one star now to the cemetery is because of the state I found it was yesterday. Not having been there for a while, I found that the grass had grown so tall that you could not see the gravesites just about the crosses and tombstones above the grass. I was sad to see that my mum’s gravesite had been overtaken by grass. I started to pull the grass by hand and rearrange the flowers and put some new flowers I had brought with me. Not far from where mum is buried another family had a grass trimer and where trimming the grass around there love one. It shouldn’t be like that. We all know that losing your loved one is hard and their resting place is the last place we go to connect somehow with them and we would like to see that it has been taken care off. I just hope the cemetery administration will take care of the cemetery ground, cut the overgrown grass and make that place a beautiful last resting...

I don't think it's fair that you close so early to be honest.

What about those that finish work at 5/6pm and can't get the weekends off?

You should make it fair for everyone to see they're loved ones at least open till 6pm.

Also a man that was burying my sister in January gone, he threw planks of wood on top of someone else's grave which I find very dis-respectful and to then lean on they're head stone which people pay so much money to make they're loved ones graves look pretty then you get men like this come along a lean on they're head stone. It's like sitting on someone's face. Where is the respect these days? Half of the head stones in this grave are not treated with care and i can see why. Its not the bold white male with tattoes its his ffriend with brown wavy hair up to his shoulder length.

I understand the pressure of burying someone and how hard it can get but don't take it out on other people's graves. Look after those like they're your own people. Because if I catch them again when I come here I will be taking evidence and reporting this behaviour.

It's...
