Lee Valley Marina Springfield — Attraction in London

Really nice location to black your boat as the hackney marshes are a 3 minute walk away. The local residents are wonderfull too and have a community run bar which I would recommend anyone staying for work checks out. At the end of my stay I was sad to go and if it where possible I would definitely consider living here as a resident.

As others have commented the staff can seem a little stand offish at times but I never interpreted any of there behaviour as being rude. I think it's sometimes easy to forget that the majority of them are not residents/boaters and are in fact at work, which as the majority of us can empathize doesn't put one in the most enthusiastic of states.

They waived my hardstanding fee for which I was very grateful. The crane in/out was £500 total. They however will not hire out equipment so be warned. The engineer is a complete F-ing a-hole. Made me take the day off work to come in and show him the engine bay before agreeing to a Wednesday service, upon arrival the 'engineer' was absent so the pump man said here fill up your water while you wait unlocked the tap for me. I emptied my cassettes and returned to my boat still waiting. Then this prick of an engineer comes up beat red with anger saying 'I've been looking for you!
