I've been a regular customer of Boots for years, but my recent experience with this store is hugely disappointing. I took 3 disposable Boots cameras to them to process and print. It was supposed to be a 5-day service, however they lost my films. After a couple of visits to the store for nothing, they called me yesterday saying that my photos are found (15 days), and the lady on the phone told me that they'll make a discount as a compensation. Apparently, the discount they applied was 1 POUND for each film, which is a joke. I paid £25.50, with a discount of £3.
When I came home and started transferring the photos from the CDs, I noticed that one of the CDs has photos of someone else in it, not mine. I haven't made a big deal out of the delay and even the disrespectful discount they offer, but this is just too much. I wonder what they would do about this now,...
Read morePharmacy: The pharmacy staff have always been friendly, helpful and they listen. It might be a bit slow sometimes but I think that's just because of the number of prescriptions they need to fulfil on the spot.
Shop: The shop itself is quite limited. I've heard that there isn't much on the shelves because of theft. So not great stock, best to order and pick-up in-store. Could do with some refurb but the floor/counter staff are also friendly and try to be helpful.
It's quieter on Saturdays, so if you want to avoid queues, try then. As for the phone – it can be hard to get through sometimes, haven't found an ideal...
