GREEN SPACE So much more could be done to this park. It’s bland. So much space could afford to have dedicated wildflower beds. Apart from the trees, there is huge scope to encourage wildlife. Park management resembles a sports field. Additionally, diversity of flora would be more attractive to visitors. The Friends group is lackadaisical. There is very little diversity of wild flora in the park and the only colour to be seen, is in the small rose garden, (offset to one far side of the park). Why not sow a wildflower mix, with ornamental grass seed, for example, around the park verges? Mixing in Yellow Rattle, (a semi parasitic plant), would combat against the growth of Perennial Rye Grass, and ensure more flowers grow up and less ‘standard’ grass, (which smothers everything). This would ensure more light reaching flowers. So much space in this park has been ignored for wildlife. It’s as if the importance of wildlife here is very low. There is huge room for improvement. Making this one small change to the perimeter verges, would encourage more diversity of species. I would be interested to know Markfield Park’s Management Plan. THE CAFE It’s quite expensive for the area and customer service is strained and lacks warmth.

Such a sorry place it could be a gold mind but not I really saw a menu where it was so little tempting to eat I went for a cheese and ham omelette It was gross I eat mostly the salad I still don't know what on heart that cheese could be but my stomach burbling now I'm glad I left most of it. Entering you got a giantess board to read. I was to order chips I changed my mind 4 quids I could have been told the omelette would have salad and some pieces of a stick dry compressed toast oilly bread. It was not good at all the place could be fantastic with a nice garden but not. it's full of this empty vending machine and dried plant pots or plastic plants full of web cob. I do not recommend it at all. To avoid and wait for a change of direction.

Markfield Park it's the best park in East London so tranquil and full of History got a great cafe you can swap books and it's a great place for families and children the children really makeup to place as so beautiful here them playing and with their parents the staff there are fantastic also we got a pumping house because before Markfield Park it was Tottenham Hale pumping station Sewage Works but no more now it's a best park Fantastic Park it's also we got Springfield Park that's further down but Marshall Park gets 10 out of 10 I gone through the park few years now cos I don't live far from the park can't wait to go back to Markfield Park because it's got my name Happy New Year 2019
