Over all a well rounded green space. And welcomes everyone.
However in recent years the park has gained a bad reputation and is known as a problem park.
This is down to a certain group of individuals who think it’s acceptable to use the park to find victims to mug. Usual the APS students after school or any young teenager or person who’s seen to be an “easy target”.
Now they’re not just operating after school times it’s weekends, school holidays, basic whenever they see an opportunity, and this is happening practically on a daily basis.
They mainly focus on phones, ear pods and cash. Things they can sell quickly.
Police are very much aware and so are the surrounding schools.

Read moreGreat place. For small kids: 2 lots of modern swings, slides, climbing frames & other play furniture; it has the soft fall, padded, spongey ground for clumsy falls. For bigger kids: modern tennis courts, modern basketball court, table tennis concrete table with hard net, (bring your own bats & balls). All seems to be free, no need to book.
