For history lovers, Pembroke Lodge also has some fascinating connections—once the home of British Prime Minister Lord John Russell and the childhood home of philosopher Bertrand Russell.

Such a lovely garden in Richmond Park. We played at the playground near Petersham gate, and came up here.

We were here on 27 April 2025, the weather was great. It is a sunny warm day with a bit of clouds.

The garden was especially beautiful in spring. The flowers were blossoming. They were so beautiful and looked unreal.

There is a viewpoint from the garden. You can overlook Richmond from here.

Great sandwiches and drinks. My favorite is still the home made Scones, Jam and Cream. They are take away only, but despite 10% more on the price ( based on price of the stalls at the parking area) you have a smaller queue and leaves the restaurant straight onto a fantastic view of the Surrey Hills. And can sit on tables scattered over the terrace gardens. This visit i tried the cakes. Wow factor....
