The Fox & Duck — Restaurant in London

We recently rented out the Fox and Duck for our Halloween themed baby shower & we had the most wonderful evening! The staff are the utmost in helpful & every thing we needed was catered for. The event was perfect, and went ahead with no issues. We bought our own decorations and also rented a karaoke machine. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was fantastic and the food was very tasty and came out all perfectly timed and there was nothing left, so was very well enjoyed by our guests (we had pizzas which are highly recommended.) The communication with Rob, the manager was top form and we felt very well looked after. This pub means a lot to us, as we had our first date here & so this was very much a full circle moment for us. Fantastic pub. Your first available pub, after Richmond, before reaching Ham, or any Surrey town beyond. We have had substantial meal and substantial drinks here too. Landlord and staff are awesome. More newly decorated but, very hard line classic looking inside, with a massive working fire place, in winter months. It has a front and a side garden, sun is shining there from mid morning already, so make sure you can have a midday drink there, if that's your fancy. Can't wait to see petrol cars being banned in the UK, because a pub like this will be a delight, as roads will go quiet. History fact: right next to the side garden, there is a white wooden hut, used to be a village lock up. An armed man was stationed there, whose responsibility was to gard the village entrance from thugs, thieves, drunks, and highwayman, and charge...

Very mediocre experience - We went on a sunny day sat outside and wanted to grab a light meal. The chairs we fairly worn out and the table very wobbly. We ordered some fries, bread with dip x3 and some olives. The fries came in a bowl, most were ok cooked while quite a few was undercooked and still had that taste of ‘frozen’, and we had to specifically ask for dipping sauces separately. The bread came with 3 dips, not introduced by the waiter to begin with so we had to ask what they were, and he was a bit doubtful a once but finally figured it out. The dips taste like the were bulk purchased and maybe had been open for a bit too long since they bought them, not that I think they were out of date, just opened for a bit too long, as they didn’t...
