A sign outside proclaimed 'Jesus Lives!' so I went inside to enquire because I was under the impression the he had died for my sins (Sins, I might add, that weren't committed by me I later found out but by a man whose provenance I can't verify, eating something from a tree as a result of talking to a snake, I lost the plot after a while so I can't explain exactly what I was told). Read moreSt Leonard's Church Shoreditch (often just referred to as Shoreditch Church) is a Christian place of worship of the Church of England. It was built in 1740. It is a local landmark notable for it's 192 foot tall steeple, it's classically inspired design and pale stone coloured cladding which makes it stand out from its (now) trendy surroundings. I think it's appropriate that it's more like a backstage area rather than a highly decorated stage. I went for midnight mass on Christmas. The congregating was friendly, and the vicar and others who participated in the service appear to be a diverse group of people who focus on spreading love and acceptance. It was beautiful.
I plan to go back during the day to explore the churchyard and see even more of...
