Old Spitalfields Market is a vibrant and historic gem in the heart of London. The atmosphere is bustling and lively, with a perfect mix of old-world charm and contemporary flair. The market offers a diverse range of stalls selling everything from vintage clothing and unique handcrafted items to delicious street food from around the world. What I love most about Old Spitalfields is the variety. Whether you’re a foodie, a fashion enthusiast, or just looking for a unique gift, there's something for everyone. The traders are friendly and passionate about their products, which adds a personal touch to the shopping experience. The food options are fantastic, with vendors offering a wide array of cuisines. It's a great spot for lunch, and there's ample seating to relax and enjoy your meal. The market is also surrounded by trendy shops and cafes, making it a great destination for a full day out. Accessibility is excellent, with easy access from Liverpool Street Station. The market is well-maintained and clean, and the overall vibe is welcoming and inclusive. I highly recommend a visit to Old Spitalfields Market whether you’re a local or a tourist looking to experience one of London’s best markets!

Great place to mooch and get gifts. Wandered off the market aswell to brick lane libreria book shop. You could go further down and get salmon lox beigels if you wanted some real historic food shop. It’s been there like 100 years and is 24 hours. Otherwise lots of stuff in the market. We went to “the market coffee house and bar” which was super nice although make sure you want to eat otherwise in the coffee but generally too busy and no seating. Eating doesn’t have to be much like a beigel but gets you in the area for better seating. Also they have breakfast sitting and lunch. We ended up catching the end of breakfast then got the lunch menu and had some wine. Staff were very agreeable to us hogging the seats for so long whilst we awaited a very late friend. The stalls at the market are selling candles, jumpers, posters generally. Don’t forget to go to the pub the golden heart where Tracey emin used to hang out back in the day and left some artwork there - as did some other British artists. Also see the hugenot houses Colgate street opposite. Beautiful old houses look like a movie set. The hugenot’s were artisans escaping France during times of religious turmoil in the 18th century.
