Do NOT ignore the other 1 and 2 star reviews like I did when I booked. I wish I would have stayed literally anywhere else. In an effort to save a couple bucks a night, I stayed here instead. What a big mistake. First the major cons: The largest one was NO FREE WIFI. Can someone please tell me what year it is? I can get free wifi when I get gas for my car, but not at a hotel in the middle of London?? I suppose I should've seen this before booking, but I never even fathomed a hotel wouldn't have free wifi. The rooms... First the obvious, they were dirty and small; especially the bathroom. We ended up having to switch rooms for reasons I'll get into later, but room 1 had mold all over the shower and just general dirt and filth everywhere. I didn't see any mold in room 2, but the shower drain was so slow, my wife and I could only shower for 2-3 minutes before having to turn off the water so it could drain out of the pan. Disgusting. Many other reviews mentioned the street noise as a concern. I read this and thought, "I've lived in major cities for most of my adult life. I'm no stranger to street noise. I'll be fine." WRONG. I swear I'm not exaggerating when I say I was woken up multiple times in the early AM to the sound of what I could only assume was an F1 racecar doing burnouts outside my 1st floor window. This may not be the hotel's fault in itself, but wow is it a big con. The service... Because of the aforementioned street noise I requested to move to a room on a higher floor. At this point I realized I had made a major mistake booking this hotel, so I even offered to just pay for a nicer room to try to at least start to fix my mistake. Here is what ensued. Day 2: After the first night of about 2-3 hours of sleep, I asked the front desk for a room on a higher floor. They said, no problem, we have a few people leaving in the afternoon, so if we were to come back then, they would have a room saved for us. Great! I thought... I come back in the afternoon to no room saved and the manager telling us, even though the have a room available, they cannot give it to us because then our room wouldn't be clean and they would not have it available to book. They told us to come back the next day at 12:00 to make sure we can switch rooms. I was annoyed, but fine. Day 3: Another 2-3 hour sleep night later, I interrupt our London trip to journey back to the hotel at exactly 12:00 so I can transfer rooms. We're told that they don't have the new room clean yet, but will put a note in to hold it for us. This time I was able to at least get confirmation that a room would be held for us and that we can come back in the evening to move our belongings. Fine. We come back again just before dinner around 5:30. Talk to the front desk. We still get pushback about not coming when they asked us to. I tell them that we did, but the room was not ready and even show them the confirmation and the note the attendant made in the system saying to reserve the room. After some back and forth, the begrudgingly give up the EMPTY room that they promised me. I will say in this 2nd room on the 7th floor the street noise was much more reduced and I finally got a good night's sleep. This is the worst hotel experience I've had in my entire life. Frankly, I would be embarrassed to let someone stay here for free. Constant inconveniences, very grimy, and the fact they expected me to sit around the lobby all day waiting for them to let me in a room that was already available were just the frosting on the cake. Just spring for a better hotel. I promise you it will be worth it.

It was by far my worst expérience in an hôtel. When we arrived the room was dirty both nightstands where full of Stains and sticky there was 2 empty bottles lying on the floor and one of the electric plug was full of a brown paste i can just hope it was chocolate. there was a pin in the chair 4cm long my son sat on it and hurt himself I went to desk asked to talk to the manager that was too busy to talk to me so a staff gave me a second room. On this one the toilets and the wall where broken and litteraly falling on the floor and there was garbage on the floor i went to desk again asked the manager Staff told me to wait 15mn as she was busy. After 15mn staff told me she was too busy and gave me a 3rd room On this one the soap dispenser from shower was empty the one near the sink was broken the door to the toilets was broken and not closing and one of the 2 beds was broken there was trash and garbage under the beds i went to desk again saw manager that just gave me a free diner (cheaper one) changed the bed and thats all the usb plugs near the bed was broken they just told maintenance could not fix it and if i wanted a 4th room... next day i asked for room to be made and put sign on door nothing i went to desk 4 times next day to ask for that and towels it took 2 days and 5 Times asking to have fresh towels and sheets they forgot toilet paper so i asked Yesterday and 3 Times today still nothing for about 24 hours when my family need to use the toilets we have to take a shower as noone care giving us toilet paper im going to buy some on tesco Yesterday for breakfast all coffee machine where broken so even if i paid for breakfast i went to Starbucks since day 2 they dont have Nutella for kids so i bought some at Tesco i forgot to mention the sheets of the first room where disgusting i will post pictures the cards for the doors dont work well and have to be changed everyday they offered me a mojito telling me they had no lime and no mint they used a syrup and tequila...in a mojito... worst hôtel and service i ever saw in 50 years and noone Cares only good point a few staff members are really nice and tried to help they ruined my family hollydays without caring at all making everyday and night bad for us inacceptable

The staff were friendly enough, and the rooms were what you would expect from a cheap hotel. Why 2 star and not 5, I'll digress. The bed was so creaky that simply placing your palm on it and pushing down slightly was enough for it to squeak. Couple this with us being walked in on after locking the door and checking in less than an hour ago, it wasn't the best start to our Travelodge experience wondering if we could change privately or not. This by itself wouldn't of been a huge issue but on our second night we decided to try the food, this was a huge mistake. Breakfast in the morning had been exactly what you'd expect, buffet style, no complaints. However after waiting an hour for our evening meal, (there were 2 table who had ordered before us, it wasn't a busy night) which wouldn't of been an issue if the food was good, but it ruined our opinion and experience. The BBQ chicken pizza was a let down, with the disturbingly dry and dehydrated looking chicken, safe to say it wasn't finished. I used two napkins to soak the inch layer of oil off my curry, leaving a remaining amount of oil that I still wouldn't expect from a greasy takeaway. The only reason we ate it at all was we couldn't be bothered to raise the issue due to still having a night left there and didn't want to have any issues relating to our stay, as well as generally not being complainers especially as an ex restaurant worker myself. Safe to say we don't plan on returning.

I took my adult daughter away , as she works hard with children as a nursery nurse assistant, so wanted to chill with no children, unfortunately we were put across corridor to 3 lots of noisy children , woke us up , several times , so was a big disappointment, hotels wiv children should be one end of hotel , and all adults another side , of hotel , our room had such a tiny window , so nothing to look out of , another disappointment, shower was very slow not a very good jet unfortunately took a long time to shower , apart from that our stay was lovely, staff "Erica " on reception was very welcoming and googled what bus and where to catch it from, evening bar staff Darren & Tyrell were lovely , couldn't do enough for us , more staff need to be like these three , smiles all round and funny welcoming, be aware that bus drivers need to learn investors in ppl , they r very rude & arrogant, not helpful at all , but the touring buses , are lovely helpful and funny and very interesting knowledge about London excellent experience, hotel is about 30 minutes away from town, wish it was nearer , breakfast good selection, 4☆ for that , evening meals affordable and tasty . Kathleen & Zara .

Pros: - The staff here were genuinely great, really friendly and helpful, seemed like lovely people. - Rooms were a good size - Location is ideal - Buffet breakfast was fine - Cheaper than others Cons: - The searing heat. Genuinely thought I was going to melt. 35 degrees with no air con, and just a tiny little noisy fan. Absolutely didn't cut it here. I slept with no sheet, completely starker, with the tiny fan on the bedside table next to me on full blast and I couldn't cope. - The shower has 2 settings, boiling water or slightly less boiling water. No idea why I couldn't have a cold shower or even just a warm shower. The shower pressure wasn't great either. - It's generally just very loud. All the rooms quite loud, hallways loud. It's a budget hotel and this isn't massively an issue, but just something to bare in mind Would have been an easy 4 stars, but being in 35 degree weather with no air con was one of the worst sleeping experiences of my life. I imagine it's perfectly fine in winter, but as climate change gives us more of these horrible weather events I can only imagine these rooms in this heat will be hell on earth with no air con.

Perfect location , just opposite the bus station, also underground is 4-6 minutes accessible by walking… there is also a supermarket 2-3 buildings near it Price is mega if you compare it with the other possible options with the same location property. For 🛜 I have bought a package throw their website… I think it’s also possible to do that directly when you checkin I haven’t had the chance to prepare the breakfast but it looks (traditional London breakfast 😉) Reception staff was kind Building it old.. my room was suitable from the size .. unfortunately window had a problem ( could not be closed totally) .. that had made my nights alittlebit noisy.. otherwise room was ok and suitable.. Bad was also ok.. really old… with hot and cold powerful water. Service room was for me the biggest negative point … I know that the blankets don’t need to be changed everyday… but the bathroom need to be cleaned.. Specially when I tell them about that … I had a problem with the room service which has been solved next day after talking with the reception… Otherwise I was satisfied… At the end : suitably hotel for a ( beautiful London) city visit
