Have been here twice. First time it was just me and my mum- I took her for her birthday and paid £120 each for the majestic morrocan package.
We were SO impressed and even given extra time in the treatement room.
The second time we encouraged my sister to come who is very cautious with her money, we split the cost of my mum’s treatment and all had the majestic morrocan package again.
It was remarkably busier the second time being half term but this really showed in the treatment room.
The treatments felt really rushed. We started with the exfoliation which I felt was rushed and she ignored the problem areas I pointed out to her before we started- I felt a lot of my body eg armpits and feet were neglected with the exfoliating mitt. Onto the Turkish bath -I asked my masseuse/therapist to slow down as I wasn’t relaxed due to the fact she was running her hands up and down my whole body in the same motion very quickly and repetitively- she ignored me and carried on as she was doing.
Because my hair style is shaved and part of the package is a hair mask the first time the lovely therapist/masseuse told me she would give me an extra massage to replace this.
Back to the most recent visit, I not only didn’t get anything swapped for the hair mask but we left the treatment room earlier than the previous time (clearly so they could clean up for the next lot of guests waiting- I watched them do this so I know it’s true, in which case- why book back to back treatments??) I felt very disappointed, I didn’t enjoy the treatments and largely felt embarrassed for praising it so highly and convincing my sister to part with a decent amount of cash.
There’s nothing worse than a bad massage/spa package for me because you should be relaxing and I spent all of the treatment time just getting frustrated because I wasn’t enjoying it and when I told her she didn’t do anything differently.
I won’t be...
Read moreI brought my boyfriend to a hammam for the first time and I felt embarrassed with the attitude we have experienced. I want to say, facilities are nice, cleanliness was nice and foam/massage was nice but you enter and there is this blonde lady just asks what’s your name and puts a pen in your hand to sign a weaver. No welcome, no smile. We got some water while going in and she stood there as if she got annoyed we were making her wait. Extremely cold. I want to ask to people who put her to front desk, have you ever been to a hammam?? It’s a welcoming and warm experience you really let me down to bring my boyfriend there. I was sooooo excited for it. Anyway we come in, and we see hammam is not heated and we can’t even sit in it until we get our package massages. Me and another random lady try to talk to her saying that’s what we paid for and it’s misleading in their website if it’s only spa, because some of us actually LOVE HAMMAMS, and she just argues with us plain argument way. Saying it’s summer. Yes we know it’s 24 degrees out there but we are here for the relaxing hammam experience? I have been to hammams in Turkey, Morocco and UK this was literally the first time I have seen such an attitude and a service. If you don’t run your hammam you should state that in your website when selling a hammam package. Ladies who did the hammam service were so nice and smiley so I don’t put it to 1 star for this. Because genuinely with a different management staff this place would have deserved five starts. Such a shame. But congratulations guys, I was always proud that I would never bothered to give bad reviews to anywhere, no airbnbs nothing but you are the first! Will not be coming again. Worst service in a spa/hammam I have ever seen as a Turkish person. I hope you change with a nice warm person who understands customer service....
Read moreThe spa is clean and the staff are friendly. I joined the spa with a friend and we had booked a treatment. My friend made the booking and she was told that the spa was mixed day with both men and women using the facilities. The therapist came over to us to let us know that we were having our treatment in 10mins and not to use the pool or jacuzzi. After 10mins she came over and took us in the treatment room. When you walk in it is a very big room with a big marble table in the centre of the room and sinks around the outside of the table. The therapist asked me to sit on the edge of the table and another therapist joined who asked my friend to sit on the other side of the table. Then another 2 therapist joined with 2 more clients, another female and a male. We were all in the same room and all four of us were asked to lay down on the table. They begin by throwing buckets of water on you and then start to massage you. As they massage you they take off the top half off your swimsuit so you are now topless. They do not ask if they can do this! Both myself and my friend felt very uncomfortable especially with a man in the room with us. Also the treatment room door was open and other people could see in. The massage continues with the then covering you with soap and bubbles and continuing to massage you and at times over your chest. It ends with you standing up and buckets of water being poured over you. I felt very uncomfortable and didn’t enjoy the experience. If you choose to have a treatment make sure you ask if men will be in the room with you, whether you need to be topless and ask for the treatment room door to be closed. They never mention any of this to us before our treatment. I will never use this place again I felt...
