I've been a long time user if this beautiful, well proportioned, popular public park with my dogs and always found it to be a pleasant place to spend time all year round. The recent hard work, by the dedicated park grounds team, has been a revelation, the parl has many more lines of sight, making it feel more open and improving the aesthetic throughout the central park areas. Beautiful planted flower beds adorn well maintained grass areas; while plentiful benches allow for convenient stops around the park's pathways Additionally, there is a good children's play area which has seen recent new aparatus additions and is well looked after by visitors. I highly recommend a visit to this park; I personally use this park as my daily play park for my dogs, and love it!! Sincere thanks to the grounds team for making a beautiful place to enjoy my daily walks.

Lovely well kept park with plenty to offer different age groups. I walk my dog in here while my husband does a Sainsbury's shop. There's a lovely little cafe with toilets, bowling green, memorial gardens, children's play park and skater/scooter section plus large areas of grass. There's plenty of picnic benches and standard benches. Although there are steps there are separate paths suitable for bicycles. They recently replaced the entrance gate from Sainsbury's car park with a wider one making it more accessible for wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

A really nice park for all the family. There is a great play park for the kids. Directly opposite the kids park there is a cafe which serves quick snaks and coffee to a pleasant sit down lunch. Food is really good. Nice skate and bike park (main area my daughter and her friend end up). Good walks around the park, nice area for dog walking (lots of squirrels to be mindful of though). Limited parking but there are areas for packing around the park area.

West park is reasonable sized play area with many swings, slides, climbing frames, zip wire and an accessible roundabout. Its good for for 1 to 12 year olds. Parking is limited to about 12 cars in the park (but free) but Sainsbury's is next door and has free 2 hour parking. West Park also has a nice little cafe that serves good food drinks and snacks, not the cheapest or widest range but fair prices. There is a public toilet, not always open but it's there. There are several benches and picnic tables dotted around ans a nice loop walk around park with lovely flower beds. The park also has a skate park with corners, half pipe, ramps, steps. large field to play on. Even a dual basketball and tennis closed...
