I recently stayed at BoHotel for one night during a business trip and had a lovely experience in Room 6, the attic room. It's quirky yet tastefully decorated, with a warm atmosphere perfect for a February stay. The bed was incredibly soft but still offered great support, and the heavy weighted duvet and an abundance of cushions made it extra cozy. The location is ideal – right in the historic part of Macclesfield, with plenty of shops, pubs, cafes, and restaurants just a stone's throw away. The cafe bar on the ground floor looks lovely (although I didn’t get a chance to try the food or drinks this time, I’ll definitely do so next visit). There is no reception tho. Self check-in felt a bit like Airbnb, but the staff I spoke with in the cafe was super friendly and helpful when I arrived. One thing to note: the en suite bathroom is tiny, tucked into the eaves of the building. As someone who's 162cm tall with a slim build, it was fine for me, but if you're on the taller side, Room 6 might feel cramped. Overall, a great stay! I’ll certainly return and explore more of the cafe...
Read moreStaying BoHotel and BoHome we're both the most enjoyable stays I have had anywhere (and this lady is well traveled) staying at both places gave me the time and chance to fall in love with Macclesfield. The owner is by far the most attentive host I have ever dealt with. Laura is a class act in every aspect. I have never seen anyone go more out of their way to accommodate her guests and her properties are truly impressive. Nevermind for the price..just in general. Though I must say, if you are someone who appreciates character filled spaces, that are eclectic and down to earth elegant, then you will simply love Laura's places. She is thoughtful in her designs and within herself. I will never stay anywhere in Macclesfield but at 1 of her properties. What a smart lady and well done to her for all she has created. I recommend anyone who's looking for accommodations in Macc, check with her first and if she's fully booked then wait till she's not! 🤣. Worth every reasonably...
Read moreSuper quirky, super efficient small hotel in the heart of town. Everything is walkable and the proximity to the Station is very good. Lovely shower, super comfy bed and actually the noise from outside is fine and we didn’t need the earplugs.|Breakfast or indeed dinner is downstairs in Suburban Green. A great menu for both. The Macc Muffin is to die for. The staff are very friendly. Price is ok.|Communication with Laura before the actual date was excellent.||My one tip is keep an eye on opening/closing times as we didn’t realise it shut at 8pm on a Sunday night, so no night cap that day.||Overall we loved the place and as our son now lives in Macc (we live in East Sussex) we will likely become regulars at...
