Harpurhey Shopping Centre is quite a bustling little Shopping Centre and Market. There's an array of different shops in a relatively small area, including an Asda Supermarket. There's shops to cater for pretty much everything you need and a Market on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Monday and Thursday, There's a Flea Market. There's quite a few Cafes/eateries, so it's good to watch the World go by with refreshments. What sadly lets this place down are the amount of beggars, sometimes quite aggressively, who prey on the elderly and vulnerable. They have every entrance to the Mall covered, so you can't escape them and though it sounds harsh, they're not homeless,,, they have homes as its known where they live. They beg for money to fuel the huge drug problem that sadly plagues Harpurhey. Security apparently aren't able to shift them legally, though I have seen them step in when it gets too loud and aggressive. That's why I've only given three stars for this review. I know I've probably made it sound bad but on the whole, most people and shop personnel are more than pleasant, friendly and welcoming. If the council would just do something about the above said problem, this would be a much better place. It's a good place, sadly spoilt by the selfish few. No, it's not changed, it's just as bad with useless security who do shady deals with shady punters!

Harpurhey shopping centre is OK it's not the best . It is a decent market, and as some big name shops ASDA - Iceland - B&M, the rest of it is made up of second-hand shops & charity shops The toilet 🚻 on the market is poorly managed and small. and always have water on the floor next to the urinals they are the worst toilets I have ever been in . And need money spent on them or pull the toilets down altogether This is a place not to be seen at night as it's not safe . Needs better shops & a much bigger & better market . Needs better lighting at night . During the day, it's not too bad for people going about their business .

this centre acts more like a functional retail hub than a traditional shopping mall. It’s anchored by a large Asda and surrounded by essential stores like Lidl, Wilko, B&M, Iceland, Farmfoods, along with a variety of eateries like McDonald’s, Greggs, Subway, KFC, The Pasta Project, and some local cafes. A new Tenpin bowling and entertainment centre is set to open mid-2025, adding more recreational value to the area.

Fully featured with a wide array of shops and market stalls but quite poorly kept, the bulk of the market section is covered however the walk between the charity shops, pound shops and the ASDA is uncovered so bring an umbrella if you plan to visit.

There are quite a few shops to visit and they apply to most age groups but the whole complex has an air of the undermaintained, alot of the shops don't feel as if they've been updated since before the credit crunch, and the area isn't the tidiest, a noticable amount of litter, cigarette butts (the lack of defined smoking areas also posing an air quality problen) and general other detritus leaving the centre looking shabby and uncared for.

Part of the problem with the centre is its usership, some of the people in it aren't necessarily always the politest but that isn't universal, there is occasionally a funfair ride in the main square for kids to enjoy and some of the food available is very well made and tasty. If you have to go there, don't expect the most refined experience, but it's not the...
