If you love parks then elmdon park is a must place to visit as it's great for any age from toddlers to oap's theres something for everyone. It's a very large park, I'd say around 3-4 square miles. At the bottom you have lots of grassy areas, a great children's play area that's fenced in so no worries about them wandering off and it has a great selection of things to go on. There's a car park at the bottom and the top of the park but if these are full you can park along elmdon park road that runs alongside the bottom part. Also at the bottom there is a double tennis court, free on a first come first serve basis and a couple of football pitches where some Sunday's theres local league matches played here, theres a nice lake with plenty of hungry ducks to feed including magnificent swans, geese and a lot of others. Theres is a large wooded area at the bottom also but the right hand side of the park is fenced off as this is the jaguar/landrover plant. Theres a few walks around the park but when you get up to the top theres the old church St Nicholas's which in the spring and summer months opens Sunday afternoons and they serve hot and cold drinks and home baked cakes and other goodies all at a very reasonable price. There is also a huge nature reserve at the very top which is like a lost world with all kinds of things nature to do. So whether its snowing and you want great hills for sledging or the suns blazing this is a park that really does have it all and imho a must for any park lovers or just a great place for a family day out.

This park always brings me a sense of satisfaction after visiting it. My grandad used to take me here as a child every morning to walk the dog Sunny, which was a beautiful springaspaniel. The park has paths that lead all the way around the park so you can wear sensible footwear and not be completely covered in mud. There is a lovely pond with 2 decked out areas where it is safe to stand with children to feed the Geese & the Ducks, often you will find swans their looking to be fed also. Just don't be feeding any of them white bread. There is a play area and a Zip wire for children. There are 2 tennis courts which are free to play on. There are usually football goal posts up when the football season is on.

We love Elmdon Park. It has everything for a well rounded family park visit - lovely walks (great for scooters/bikes), wide open spaces, ducks to feed, wildlife to spot, a playground, picnic tables, a football field, shallow streams and benches. It's a great location to visit in all seasons e.g If you visit in the summer there is normally an ice-cream van and if you visit in the Autumn you'll find conkers etc. The only downside is that there are some irresponsible dog owners that don't clear up after their dogs. It's very frustrating when you have little ones that aren't always vigilant. Plus there are no toilets but apart from that it's one of our favourites.

A lovely well maintained park with a mixture of open fields and narrow forest paths. Clear paths for cycling/walking. There is also a great view of the sunset (when the sky is clear of course!). There is a medium-sized lake with swans and ducks which the kids would probably enjoy and a playground area which is probably more suitable for family sports/games. I found reading about it's history quite interesting, particularly the 300-400 year old tree that has been well preserved and looks very stoic amidst the surrounding greenery. Car park is closed during COVID19 I assume but street parking is available on both sides.

Staying with friends in Solihull I was looking for a place for a walk and was introduced to Elmdon Park. This place is huge with loads of paths and trails. There’s a play area for the kids, a large pond or 2, football area and when you climb the hill there’s good views over the area. You could easily make up a 5 km walk. This park leads on to other open areas for an even bigger walk. Dog and kid friendly.

Lovely park for all types of activity. Plenty of different routes and types of walking whether that be enclosed woodland, open grass fields, knee height grass or pavement walking. The lake is lovely although fenced off to restrict entry. The play area is nice and has some variance in things to do compared to most playparks. There seems to be an ice cream van year round , if only it served coffee!
