The park has some open areas and some wooded areas. Unfortunatly some inconsiderate people had left their pets mess in various places which slightly ruins the experience, as well as the fact that there must be an event being run soon as there were big yellow signs up all over the place advising of restricted access or to be careful etc.! For a slightly longer walk you can loop out of the park to the river and back in again. For the younger kids there is also a play area near the entrance, nd those that have bikes there is also a pump track area. Read moreThis is a great park with a lot of different things to do. There is a park and ride car park, which is free to use when using the parks facilities. There are two well designed pump tracks, for people who like to ride up and down bumps, around burns, and up small hills. Both are well used and hand has some recent additions. There is also a playground, and a very large climbing rock, which is great fun. Plenty of great bike paths as well.
