Merlins Magic Children's Play Centre — Attraction in Rudbaxton

I would not even give it 1 star if I was able to write a review without. I have been a customer since I have been in Pembrokeshire for over two years and held my son and his friends party here as well. Today the manager made me feel humiliated. First they got my order wrong but since it was a young girl I did not complaint. Then when she just dumped lost of cheese on chips and threw two forks on table with attitude, I asked her to at least put it in microwave and she just gave me attitude that she can’t do it. When I said it has never been served like this before. She went and warmed it and then just threw the bowl in front of me like she was about to feed a dog. Maybe she doesn’t like Muslims or any other backgrounds but then she should display that on the door so no one from a particular religion or background comes in to be humiliated. I saw her being nice to everyone but I and my son. She told my son he was not able to take the teddy from 1 play area to other even though he said he was playing yet many other children had them in other areas. My son had found that on the table outside that area in the first place. She has made us feel like we were here for free. She has lost us as customers forever. I have been to many places where I have dealt with racism but this has to be the worst. I will log this with council and further as she has no right to treat a paying customer like this. I then went to the till and asked one of the girls to give me the owners work phone and email so she wrote it down for me. The magnet comes snatched the paper with number from her hand and said to me we cannot give you the owner details. Of course you won’t. I go to Merlin’s Magic on a regular basis, I take my 5 foster children with me, I have the annual pass and honestly would be lost with it, the children always have the best time, I then have the best time as they are shattered when they have finished and go to be early 🤷‍♀️, it’s a win win for everyone, quite often we have lunch or tea there and have got the say the size of the children’s portions are just right, nothing is wasted and the children enjoy every bite, which I like to see, I’ve also had food myself and have always enjoyed what I have been given, the new play area for the younger one is great, they love all the play using their imagination, it’s been done to a very high standard, and very colourful, we came to the paw patrol event, and the children had a great time, photos food, and atmosphere were great, plus a party bag to go, and last but not least, I have got to say, the staff are amazing, one of my children has disabilities and Jess the manger is absolutely fantastic with him, he loves coming just to see Jess, often tidies potato head table for her, just to get a biscuit 🤦🏼‍♀️, have got to say all the staff are great, always friendly and happy to chat, nothing is too much trouble, thank you Merlin’s Magic and long...

Lovely establishment and safe/secure which was super helpful and made you feel relaxed. Unfortunately ruined by a member of staff being discriminatory to my autistic child. Its in the rules that children need to wear socks to play but my child struggles with clothing and will not wear them. She said that he was to either wear them or not play. I explained that he was autistic and we can't get him to keep them on (she then insisted that we follow him round putting them back on everytime he took them off, including following him into the play area - which is also a rule no adults allowed in the play area. So they can ignore that rule for us to follow him but not let him play without socks?) She then went on to say he just has to wear them and the thing (his disability) that's stopping him shouldn't matter. Also that the disability was not her problem and they can't cater for disabilities because rules are rules.
