There seems to be a lot written about segways, but seing as we are a pretty dab hand at riding segways, we decided to go for something a little different, and we chose archery. I arrived with my two sons, one who is 19 and the other who is 20.
We were greeted very warmly by a lady on the front desk who gave us disclaimers to read and sign and we did this in the comfort of the small, but very comfortable cafe. As soon as we had finished this our instructor arrived on time, and took us over to the archery site. The instructor was very knowledgable (sorry I have forgotten his name), very chatty and could obviously tell that we are all very competitive, so as soon as the safety briefing was out of the way, our instructor arranged a rather good hour of competitive archery, which we all really enjoyed. During our time it was actually raining quite hard, but we did not mind this, and neither did the instructor, so we carried on.
In all a really good competitive hour of archery which everyone enjoyed, and rain, hail or snow I would certainly...
Read moreWe had a fantastic time in our wee river bed. The basket breakfast was the most delightful touch and a highlight of our morning. The homemade baked goods were soft, fluffy, and scrumptious down to the last bite! It was so exciting to wake up and open the basket as if it were a gift to unwrap. The accommodations were a fun escape from traditional style lodging. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. They assisted with our needs swiftly and with a smile. The private hot tub was the perfect way to unwind from a busy day, providing rest and relaxation with euphonious sounds from the babbling brook and birds. We enjoyed our activity day with the E-bikes, archery, and laser “clay pigeon” shooting. Chris was an excellent instructor who felt more like a friend during our two hour time slot. He provided us with history and information about the land and Scotland itself, and recommended places to go for dinner and sights to see. We were sad our time had come to an end but would, without a doubt, come back again to the beautiful surroundings of...

They have loads of great family activities to do and on this day we decided to go segway with a guy called Chris. He was fantastic he took me and my 3 teenage boys through a detailed safty brief before we started and issued us safety kit. We started off on a beginner route for a short while trying to master the segway my kids picked it up almost immediately but i took a little longer then once he saw we were all confident he took us off into the country side for an exciting ride that included tracks and a bit off road to we had a fantastic time. We also visited again a few days later and took out some E Bikes equaly as good fun but you dont have an instructor with you you have a time to return the bikes but you are free to go off explore anywhere you fancy going.
