Alford Valley Community Railway — Attraction in Scotland

Volunteering at its best. This railway has newly reopened to the public after many hours of enthusiastic volunteering time. The station building has been beautifully refurbished. This is where to go to pay for your trip and speak to a person if you need to. Car parking isn't a problem. Take a round trip, and if you have some time, get off in Haughton Park before catching a return train. The park has super play parks for the kiddies and has a variety of walks for everyone. There is a Holiday Park located in there too, and they have a shop that sells a variety of snacks if necessary 😀 Alford is a great place...

The Alford Valley Community Railway is absolutely fantastic. Main station has undergone alot of work inside and out to bring it up to the 21st century, still some old skool items to be viewed though. Trains will run from The Alford Railway station along the track , passing through the local golf course and then onto Haughton Park where you can get off and explore the park beautifully kept park.
