Aquatec Motherwell — Attraction in Scotland

The Aquatec experience really falls short of the mark. The swimming facilities at this venue is often not up to par because of serious staff shortages and lack of communication with customers. I've been to this venue 5 times and the water shoots have never been operational due to a shortage of staff but customers are still expected to pay the inflated price to use them. So I've paid 5 times for the family to enjoy a swimming experience but actually none of us accessed the water shoot! In the last 5 months I've tried to take my nephews back 3 times unsuccessfully. First issue was an early closure due to staffing issues. Second and third time was the pool was closed for an hour while staff went on an hours break! What are you suppose to do for an hour with two kids under 6?! Today I'm particularly disappointed as I called 40mins before arriving to check they were 'open'. I was told over the phone the pools are open till 715pm. So I got the boys excited. Turned up & guess what? The staff were on a break and I was asked to wait an hour. Wouldn't have cost them a penny to let me know over the phone that the pool would be closed btwn 330-430. Another wasted trip and I am fed up! Lucky for us Hamilton's Water Palace was open and it's always a pleasure visiting there. Very very disappointed with NL Lesiure...

Horrible. It's ridiculous. Lockers and changing rooms are ridiculous they are a mess and horrible The let in time is so stupid. They let in loads of people around 30/40, then expects us to get out all all the the same time with only 4 Showers. And only let's you swim around 1 hour. You have clearly advertised your pool making it seem like there is plenty of things to play with.; there is only a whirlpool and one slide. The children's area is even more ridiculous. Not even worth bring my cousins here. The tiles really horrible. Swimming around in the whirlpool. The sand and grit that was gathered at the bottom is insane. I could not believe it. The water was freezing. I understand to some degree. The water has to be at a certain tempeture. But even in the jacuzzi pool, the water was the same temperature. If not worse. It is clear that there is not enough lifeguards on duty. As I'm skiing around. One lifeguard is trying to cover 3 areas. 7 Not to mention that the lockers don't even give you the money back and the changing rooms are a size of a small square box I seen this place get advertised, after its refurbishment, it looked amazing. Thought we would try this place out and we were very disappointed. To start with the pool was filthy small pieces of foam and water bottle caps floating in pool and lots of broken tiles or areas with tiles missing. There is an area in the pool where gravel/dirt collects (at the bottom of the stairs coming from the jacuzzi area into the main pool) The outside pool area is a shambles the grass area is unmaintained and overgrown, the outdoor pool area itself has loads of missing tiles as well causing sharp edges, my kid even found spiders in the main pool area. The tyre ring flume only had 3 tyre rings for customers to use so waiting times were quite long also.
