A really picturesque, and beautifully maintained park with something to offer all age groups. If sitting down and taking in the views is your thing then there's plenty of benches offering panoramic and dynamic river views. There's an outdoor workout area that will test your muscle strength and endurance, two outdoor play areas for the kids with a range of activities, and an indoor supervised nursery. In another corner there's a skateboard/scooter/cycle park alongside an artificial turf football park. The central park, which is largest in area, is grassed (perfect surfaces) and is mainly used for football, rugby, and american football matches. There's a circuit right around the park (part divided by a white line) for families, walking your dog(s), joggers, harriers, cyclists (et al). You'll find adequate parking and toileting facilities with a few vending machines in the reception/pavilion area. Just about forgot to mention that the park also hosts Pipe Band competitions, Circus, Fairs and similar...

Went to Battery Park for the Highland games last weekend. The weather could have been better for everyone but a nice time was still had. This place has a few things for people to do outwith events. The football pitches are always being used for kids training and adult games alike. A playground for the little ones while there as well as a huge area for dog walkers and keep fit fanatics. You could also take a lunch while visiting, grab a seat at the waters edge, watch the boats coming in and out of the dock or just sit and enjoy the view. There's a few places to go for food or takeaway while you're there. One of my favourite...

Beautiful in the Sunshine, but otherwise very chilly with the wind off the River. Fabulous views across the River and even in winter there's always something going on. Lacks facilities. With Covid there is little football going on but "normally" almost the whole grassed area of the park can be used with loads of organised football training at certain times after school. Popular with walkers, runners, cyclists (including kids) and dog walkers with many off lead. When it's nice or football training on car parking can be busy but I've always found a space. There is also a skateboarding 🛹 Park which is always popular...

Battery park is a lovely open space to go with family, friends or dogs! There is a cycle lane and a walking lane and plenty of grassland. People are generally respectful of your space. There are two sand playparks, one with swings for younger children and the other with climbing frames/slide/roundabout for older kids. There is also an outdoor gym and although some of these need some serious oiling, it's kept in good condition. It's possible to get down to the stones/water I'd you'd like to look for shells or throw stones in the water.

Large public park with lots of space on the grass area for the likes of football and picnics. There is plenty of parking and public toilets which are nice and clean. Amazing views across the clyde. There is a notice boad detailing the different walks/ length of routes if you want to track your miles. There is one large play area with sand and a smaller one on the opposite side of the Battery Park.

Visiting the area and love getting my steps in before breakfast. Great walk from the Campbell street side of The Esplanade over to the Battery Park. A couple of rounds of the park and back along The Esplanade. Lovely to see so many folks out in the morning for a run, walk or playing with their dog. There was an organized kids run on this morning. Lovely to see all the happy faces participating.
