A beautiful monument in Greenock commemorating the Free French Navy who, while France were occupied in WW2, were stationed here. The Cross of Lorraine on an anchor is a fitting symbol to those heroes, a symbol that is above all of Greenock and Gourock. It is a wonderful place to come up, and have a seat. Watch the view whether it is sunny or cloudy, day or night, even rainy (if you ave a car, that is…) I come here often, just to have a little peace, or when I want to walk into the town.
