Baxter Park is one of Dundee’s finest public parks, offering a peaceful and scenic escape right in the city. Whether you’re visiting for a relaxing stroll, exercising, or spending time with family and friends, this park truly delivers.
The park features wide open green spaces, tree-lined walking paths, and well-kept flower beds that bloom beautifully in spring and summer. At its heart stands the iconic Victorian pavilion, a historic sandstone building that gives the park a sense of charm and heritage. It also houses a café and community space, making it a social hub for locals.
Recreational facilities are a big highlight – there are well-maintained tennis courts and netball courts, perfect for anyone looking to stay active or enjoy a casual game with friends. You’ll also find a small children’s play area, benches throughout, and plenty of space for jogging, picnicking, or just relaxing.
The atmosphere is calm, safe, and welcoming, with regular visitors of all ages. The park is also occasionally used for community events, adding to its vibrant local feel.
