I absolutely loved the Bernat Klein exhibition and enjoyed it more than the recent BK exhibition at the National Museum of Scotland. The 3 videos were particularly interesting and provided a fascinating glimpse of the man and his work. Also bought some brilliant things from the shop, which is full of carefully chosen beautiful things from the local area.

Lots of beautiful things to see in a lovely building. So well thought out, well worth visiting. Staff extremely welcoming and friendly, some very artistic creations in there. Loved the fabric tree. The kids had a fantastic time and want to go again.

Probably the best place to get a coffee in this small town, but it closes too early (as do the shops). Best thing about it is the architecture. They turned am old stone built mill into a cafe and cultural centre, includi g a cinema.

This was an unexpected delight. Focusing mainly (but not exclusively) on Hawick's history in the textile industry, it records the changes that have occurred in that industry over the years. It was interesting to contrast the business owners' care of their workers and the consequent long-term prospering of their businesses with the modern drive towards low pay and slave conditions in so many big multi-nationals. There's good provision for younger visitors. There's no entry fee, instead there's an opportunity to donate towards the museum's upkeep if...

We visited Borders Textile Towerhouse whilst on holiday, we found the lady in the shop very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The exhibition was fantastic and interesting. I would definitely visit again. Well worth a visit. I would also like to say how well equipped the ladies toilets were too, with sanitary products for period poverty. This is fantastic for any ladies caught short or unequipped. Thank you for a fabulous experience at The Borders Textile...

Spread over 3 floors (with a lift) this museum delves into the history of the textile industry in Hawick. Modern interpretation, hands-on displays and plenty for children to do including find the soft sheep toys. Part of the building forms the Drumlanrig Tower, the oldest building in Hawick. There's a wee shop inside too. Like so many museums across Scotland, it's free to enter and relies on your donations...
