This was an unexpected delight. Focusing mainly (but not exclusively) on Hawick's history in the textile industry, it records the changes that have occurred in that industry over the years. It was interesting to contrast the business owners' care of their workers and the consequent long-term prospering of their businesses with the modern drive towards low pay and slave conditions in so many big multi-nationals. I would definitely visit again. Well worth a visit. I would also like to say how well equipped the ladies toilets were too, with sanitary products for period poverty.
