Stumbled upon this little beauty by accident, OUTSTANDING! Out for a bike ride with a couple of mates and were welcomed by the excellent staff. Warm, friendly and very professional. The food was amazing, really tasty and cooked to perfection, worth every penny. My mates had the steak & ale pie, and I went with the haddock and chips, was not disappointed! And not to mention the fantastic dessert menu! The pavlova cheesecake is to die for! We're already looking forward to our next visit!

We had coffee and cake in here, staff were absolutely great but the decor felt a little thrown together and rather tired. However, the atmosphere was still nice and welcoming, a bit like a public house from the late 90s. A bit of a refurbishment to bring it up to date or to create a style would make it a 5.

My family arrived at the restaurant 2.30pm, and I was coming to join them after my work. I arrived at 2.45pm. The woman handed me a menu, within 5 seconds I was asked what I wanted. So I said “I have just been handed the menu, can you give me a minute please” and the woman responded extremely rudely “well the kitchen is closing so hurry up”.

I handed the woman back the menu and told her not to bother. My families meals arrived shortly after as they had all ordered around half 2.

The food for my family arrived at around 2.50pm. By 3pm, the woman came over asking my family if they were finished yet… Each plate still had atleast half the meal left so it was clear nobody was close to finished.

The woman then said “well we close at 3 so please hurry”.

Why on earth would you allow people to order four meals after 2.30pm, if you wanted them out for 3pm? The food didn’t even come out until after 2.45pm… So they expected everyone to rush their meals in ten minutes??

Staff were extremely rude (except from The young girl, she was polite and nice). There was an older guy who was clearly involved in the business, who decided to sit across from the table for the last 5 minutes and stared at us the entire time clearly trying to make us leave quicker.

Worst thing is, the food was awful. Definitely do...

We struggled to find somewhere to eat that had room or was open. We tried several places with no luck then stumbled upon Brodies! And we were so glad the other places were closed as what a little gem!! The atmosphere was lovely, no one was crammed in, the staff were so lovely!!! We got parked right outside. But omg the food!!!! I'm so annoyed that we don't live anywhere near by and we were just passing through as the food is the best!!! I had the steak pie, hands down the best steak pie ever!! The meat was so tender and there was loads of meat!!! The gravy was perfect and the omg the puff pastry was amazing!! The sticky toffee pudding again the best!! I hope we get to come back again at some point as that steak pie was...

Me and my partner visited and ordered the ‘Turkish shared starter’ which was stated £8.90, a main each and only one drink, bill came to £43. We questioned this as it seemed very expensive because the mains were 11.50 and 10.50. Got told the starter which stated it was a sharing platter was actually £14.95 and since we asked for Chinese chips with our mains instead of plain chips they charged us £4 even though a whole bowl of chips was £2.80.

Food was mediocre, service was good but a shame about the prices. Very expensive for what it was, I feel like they saw us coming basically and...
