We visited here while we were on holiday in the area. The staff were very friendly and were on hand to explain all about the various items.
There is a comprehensive collection of local and regional items.
It's not a huge building but it's quirky with several different areas including an upstairs room. The rooms are PACKED with things.
We spent about 40-50 minutes here and the museum was dog friendly too.
Perhaps something like a 'can you find an item which...' puzzle for each area might be nice. It was quite overwhelming not knowing where to look because there was so much in there!

A treasure trove for the film industry for props. I love the fact that they honour all these donations and that it is run by volunteers and keep the past alive.
