Sea Horse — Restaurant in Scotland

Our daughter wanted Chinese food for her birthday, as 3 out of 5 of us need to maintain a gluten free (gf) diet having Chinese food can be challenging at times. On hearing that the Sea Horse restaurant in Dalbeattie have catered for gf customers before we gave them a call to pre order a takeaway. They could not have been more helpful, we ordered a buffet for 9 people and asked for the whole lot to be gf so we could all eat any part of it at and not have to check what we could dive in to. The food was absolutely delicious, and none of our family could notice any difference with it all being gf. We pre ordered our meals and they were all sitting ready for us on collection. Always a warm welcome at the Sea Horse, and the food is always excellent. When we're back in Dalbeattie, we'll be eating Chinese again. Monday night our meal was specially prepared for us, complete with a trial plate of something different for my not-so-adventurous husband. Lovely food, the family who run the restaurant are friendly, helpful and genuine. Highly recommended. Don't be fooled by the exterior of the restaurant - go in - prepare to be amazed. My partner was sick in the night after our takeaway. Absolutely avoid. Pretty bland bad tasting food. The spring rolls had some kind of very soggy minced meat inside them, the egg fried rice was also soggy, black beans veg didn't taste of black bean, or anything really very very bland and greasy soggy food. Inside the waiting area looks quite rough with a big old dirty looking chest freezer serving as a counter. I ordered without seeing but if we had walked in to order we would've walked...
