Photogenic ruined tower on a rocky promontory, with great views along the coast in both directions and across the water to Bass Rock and the distant hills. The tower was built in 1770 for Lady Janet Anstruther, and today stands as a prominent landmark on this rugged section of the Fife Coastal Path. Sandy beaches, volcanic rocks and the small lighthouse just along the coast mean this corner of the coastline is well worth visiting, and it's a great place to see some marine life if you wait a while.
