Absolutely stunning little coastal gem on the East coast of Scotland. There are 2 small car parks, one which has 7 bays for overnight stays for Motorhomes or car campers and the likes at £10pn per bay, max stay 2nts. Overnight toilets are available and day toilets are 1 urinal, 1 disabled, and 3 unisex toilets (locked at 5pm appr). The warden comes around to make sure each bay is paid. He was very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that Fri-Sun can get extremely busy and some owners don't follow the rules and just park up for the night without being in a bay. We saw approximately 20 vehicles squeeze into spaces leaving those who paid for bays without any room outside their vehicle. I suggest going during the week if possible or avoiding bank holidays etc.

Wild camping is popular in the area but forbidden on the green next to the toilets (given those disrespectful people who just pitch up anyway) which again ruins the beautiful views and peaceful environment the Bay gives.

There are many walks to take from the car park and if you fancy a challenge, there is a chain walk a fair bit round the coastline past the golf course. Not suitable for young children or less abled people. Plenty of beaches around and interesting viewpoints and focal points.

It's our new favourite place but we will only be going weekdays due to how busy it gets at...

Stunning spot - we arrived late afternoon and the car park was full. We waited in a non overnight space, wondering whether to move on or wait when someone knocked on our window saying they were leaving the overnight bay and would we like it. We were told by another motorhome owner that you can just park anywhere and leave before 7am, please don't do this as this is exactly how overnight parking gets removed for motorhomes - people abusing it. Walked into the village, watched a cricket match and had a pint and fish & chips in the pub - expensive but lovely. Visited the village shop to stock up, it sells all sorts! We got up early and went for a walk along the coastal path - just stunning. Would return but its not easy to get spaces. You just have...

This place was upgraded and improved since we were here last time. There's a new block of toilets. However, there are two issues that we found. You can still stay for a night if you travel by a motorhome or a campervan, but there are only 7 designated spaces even though there's much more spaces on the upper carpark which at night are not occupied anyway. You will be fined if you are not on one of them, even though the payment is accepted by the parking machine. It just doesn't make sense. Also, there is a room where you can empty your chemical toilet cassette but it's open only between 10am and 12noon, even though the rest of the toilets are open 24h. Why?

The area is lovely and...

Great for those who love coastal walking, a good chunk of this section of the Fife Coastal path is on the beach. Erosion has made part of the path unsafe / inadvisable, though (sadly) plenty folk seem to ignore the warning, which will just make things worse. The beach was clean and offered a variety of terrain and there are interesting features to spot along the way. On joining the path it is in good condition and relatively easy going, though care is required in dome sections, especially if it has been wet. Some sections have steps and these also require caution though also well maintained. The carpark allows for 2 hours parking for free or all day parking for £2. Tap to pay accepted.

Ruby Bay is situated in Eile, Fife on the East coast of Scotland. Ruby Bay is a true hidden gem both figuratively and literally. The beach here is beautiful and one could spend hours just exploring the vast array of rock pools. Eile is a picture perfect, postcard worthy Scottish village. We came here on my birthday this year and went looking for ruby's lol. Unfortunately we didn't find any, but the hunt was lots of fun and the dog thourghly enjoyed himself also. Next time we come back I'll be bringing some tools to enhance our chances of finding a wee hidden gem.
