Part of Stirling Uni, this place houses a small single screen movie theatre and several performance rooms. Has a great selection of original works. I take the kids to the cinema here for the incredible value. Although its screenings are later than the main movie theatres the prices make it worth the wait to catch it here instead. Various plays, music stand up, and dance performances are held here and many of them world class.
It has great kids performances over Christmas and has become a tradition in our house to attend each Christmas. Because many of the performance rooms are so small you get right up close to the performance which is such a treat.
There is a cafe with license to sell alcohol and plenty of food options on offer from the kitchen.
You can book tickets for all performance by phone and through its online portal. You can pick up a well produced pamphlet of all the upcoming performances in the lobby.
If you haven't attended here yet I really...
Read moreWent to see the 2023 Christmas pantomime which was really good. Directions within the Stirling University grounds could be much better and google maps had a wobble with walking directions after I parked but that would be my one criticism of the venue. The auditorium was a decent size, good visibility all around and helpful staff to direct. Adequate toilet facilities, cafe and kiosk facilities and disabled friendly. Venue also had a changing place toilet so fairly inclusive. Kiosk selection was decent too, tasty popcorn, quality ice cream etc. Perhaps could have done with some diluting juice options other than plain water but otherwise a decent selection. Last criticism... there could have been more waste bins to dispose of rubbish before leaving the venue. Generally a great facility for...
Read moreIt's amazing that I had studied at Stirling for four years and never once actually made use of this place! There's a bar and a restaurant, with a great range of drinks and food. The cinema is good value for money, and they give you a choice of three fees when you buy a ticket for a film: £4.50, £6.50 and £8.50, I believe, as the centre is a charity. With the current construction works on campus, the main entrance has been closed, but there's a straightforward and signposted entrance just around the side. I would highly recommend this place for meeting with friends and family, or even just for a quiet place for students to...
