This park is local to me and any time of year it's always lovely! In summer it has plenty of dog walkers/sunbathers. In autumn it's full of colour and in winter if there has been snow then there are plenty of children with sledges. In spring then there bare trees just biding there time until they burst forth with foliage. The bandstand is always ready to offer shelter in the rain, and if meeting someone in the park then it's also a good place to rendezvous. The children's play area has just been renovated and now includes a zip slide. It has been enlarged so there are plenty of places for parents to sit and observe their children without being too obtrusive. The bowling green is nearby within the park but as their are other greens nearby I'm not sure if it is still in...

We love Overtoun Park, it's so easy to get to as there are bus stops at both ends of the park. There's a good play area for older kids, a great play area for younger kids and plenty of seating. The park is lovely to walk round and has a bike track up the back. The bike track is suitable for all ages and even includes a little area for toddlers with a fake drive through window and two mini roundabouts. The only thing I will say though is there are no toilets which is literally the only thing the park...

Lots of people do it, try it!!! Especially in...

Lovey size public park, very buy with dog walkers and kids. Lots of places to park nearby. We visited on a Thursday just after lunch and it had lots of digs, off and on lead plus loads of little kids with mums and playgroups. Great for our wee sociable dog 🐕 People were super friendly 👍

Great little park to The south of Rutherglen . Well maintained grounds and pleasant oasis within the intensive housing locality . Noted modern playparks and bowling greens . Impressive Victorian ironwork gates and bandstand .
