Wouldn't stay here again if they paid me. The person on reception when we checked in was not interested in talking to us, just handed us a key and a piece of paper with limited information. The room was the worst I have ever stayed in. There was mould growing in the bathroom and rust on the toilet roll holder which had rubbed off on the toilet paper! There was a bulb missing from the bathroom. There was a very odd top on one the taps, obviously couldn't be bothered to find a matching one. There were only 2 hangers in the wardrobe - 2 hangers for a 2 night stay for 2 adults! The room was cold and we couldn't get the radiator to work so we went and spoke to the person on reception. Apparently the heating was on a timer! So in the middle of winter you can only have the heating on when the hotel thinks it's appropriate! Never heard of this before, never been cold in a hotel before. Lots of spiders webs in the restaurant, obviously not been cleaned properly in a while. There are 4 function rooms in the Kings Park nightclub, sorry hotel. They are far more interested in the people using these function rooms than the guests staying in their bedrooms. On the check in paper it stated any functions/music would be finished by 12.30am but it was still very loud after 1.30am. Then the adults from the functions were laughing and shouting in the corridors, and children were running around squealing well after 2am while guests were trying to sleep! So not much sleep for us!

DO NOT BOOK. I’m not one to be picky with hotels. I believe in you get what you pay for, but this place is truly ridiculous. Upon arrival staff were lovely. So accommodating, friendly and approachable. Reception especially have all been so lovely. Now for our room. Broken drawer, shower glass won’t stay open, stains in bath, shower head is not fit for that type of bathroom so water sprays everywhere, making the floor very slippy. The toilet flush handle is loose and sometimes won’t flush. Our shower has now suddenly started not letting out hot water. The tap in the sink is very loose. Now to be honest, I could let all this slide. Until now. I just came back from a day out with my partner to the room door being left UNLOCKED, with the key still in the door. Housekeeping left the key in the door. All our belongings still inside the room left behind an unlocked door for anyone to come in as they please. Like everyone, we have expensive belongings in the room. Which now I worry can we even leave anything in the room if we go out? When I asked for some money back for the room I was told that was not possible and was offered an apology. I was then offered drinks from the restaurant. Do you really think drinks make it all okay after all my personal belongings were up for grabs to anyone? Will not be returning.

Wonderfully adequate. Perfect for the money. Travelling with a broken foot and whilst there is no lift to the first floor two staff offered to help me on the stairs. This hotel is less money than a travelodge but so much better. Spacious room, clean well kept. Travelled with a small dog, great park opposite. We had both dinner and breakfast - the dinner, well what can I say? The menu was simple, I am not a fan of a mile of options, we had starters a main each and a bottle of wine for £37! Can wholeheartedly recommend the lasagna and the steak pie. I am told the pie is a special- was wonderful, delicious gravy and each morsel was ‘melt in the mouth’ Gary and his team need mentioning for their superb service- thank you so much for making our first ’hotel’ after two weeks on the NC500 so problem free. Do stay here, it’s a 3* but very comfortable. Thank you!

Well what can I say about this Hotel? Not very much, apart from the only good thing about it is one Person named Callum.

First off we booked a triple room,as there is 3 in our party. The room had black mould all over one wall, and had a terrible smell of damp. Callum kindly dealt with this compliant quickly and got us two rooms. Then the next morning, even though we had paid for a breakfast we were only offered a pear and an orange (that's right one of each). Went to have a shower at 8.45 am only to discover there was no hot water, then told I should've got up earlier. Totally drained I went back to my room to find out that the hotel not only took for the room once...... but twice!!!!! equalling to £340.

Once again Callum to the rescue,he sorted it out. In my opinion this man is the only person who actually knows how a hotel should be ran. After a day of sightseeing,we headed back to our hotel, and against our better judgement we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant, what a bad mistake we made. we ordered 1 starter and 3 mains. The starter was prawn cocktail,it came out and the bread had blue mould on it!. So once again down I went to see if i could see a manager,he seems very nice but after all we had been through and not even been here for 24hrs all he could do was to offer his apologises. He offered to buy us a drink, but seeing as only one of us out of our party drinks it hardly seemed like a fair deal. I went back to our table and now it was time for the main course. I ordered the pan fried chicken, mash and mixed veg.( I'm not a vegetarian, but don't eat red meat of any kind,)my meal arrived and inbetween my chicken was haggis, this wasn't mention in the menu, along with that was the mash as promised then some stir fried veg ( not steamed). We came here to see the sights and have a relaxing time, and well honestly it has stressed me out so much that I can't wait to get home. This hotel is an absolute disgrace, from black mould, leaky ceilings and lack of essential amenities I can only urge people to be aware. If on the off chance you do decide to stay here I hope you have a better stay than we did,I'm sure if you are dealing with Callum you will, but he is the only pleasant thing about the Kings park Hotel...

I recently had a highly unsatisfactory experience during my stay at Kings Park Hotel. Not only was I subjected to unauthorized transactions from my bank account, but I was also unfairly charged for professional cleaning, even though I had left the room in an acceptable condition.

I was taken aback when I discovered that the hotel had randomly withdrawn funds from my bank account without my consent or any prior notice. As a responsible customer, I believe that transparency and integrity are critical in financial matters. It is unacceptable for a hotel to take money without permission, and I demand an immediate explanation and a prompt refund of the deducted amount.

Furthermore, I was astounded to receive a bill for professional cleaning of the room, claiming it was left dirty upon departure. I want to clarify that I have always respected hotel policies regarding cleanliness, and I made sure to leave the room in good condition. To impose such charges without proper evidence or communication beforehand is unjust and unfair.

I expect the management of Kings Park Hotel to provide a detailed breakdown of the additional charges, along with any supporting evidence that justifies the alleged uncleanliness of the room. Moreover, I demand that these baseless charges be immediately reversed, as they reflect poorly on the reputation of your establishment and breach the trust of your guests. Hotels should treat their customers fairly and take responsibility for their actions.

Unfortunately, my stay at Kings Park Hotel has been tarnished by these unnecessary and unfair financial impositions. I urge the hotel management to address these concerns promptly and resolve the matter satisfactorily. Failure to do so will force me to escalate the issue through appropriate channels and consider further action, including legal measures if necessary.

It is my hope that Kings Park Hotel rectifies this situation by refunding the unauthorized transactions and waiving the unjust cleaning charges. I eagerly await a response within a reasonable timeframe, not only to regain my trust but also to prevent similar experiences for...

Hotel was dirty, dusty, badly needing updated. Receptionist welcoming as were all the staff. Carpet on stairs thread bare, strong smell off cigarette smoke when we got to top of stairs, There are signs in rooms and in other areas to inform of large fines for smoking in rooms. Keys for bedroom door instead of card. Lighting in room and bathroom very poor, glad I put my makeup on before arriving. Bathroom a disaster. Toilet too close to wall, when it was flushed it it sounded like a jumbo jet was in the room, bath panel damaged and badly marked a cowboy has tried to mend it and hadn't a clue how to. Shower head had to be held for the water to be directed on to you. Towels were clean but very worn. Curtains torn and dirty with some sort of fluid stain. Bedside unit dusty. Bed is knackered and I'm cringing when I say the mattress didn't have a protecter in it. There were 8 of us staying and we all had similar issues with our rooms. We had dinner my fish and chips were tasty although the hunters chicken was eatable it didn't look appetizing. We paid for a cooked breakfast but ate very little as was swimming in oil. They ran out of milk. The place is a total disaster. We were there for a surprise party. The staff that served us for dinner and the party served us for breakfast too. We mentioned to staff about how disappointing rooms were and they replied that they were a budget hotel. We pointed out to him that we could have stayed at a Premier Inn and certainly wouldn't have had such issues. At least one member of the staff was then sorting rooms as we were leaving. It would seem they are understaffed which could explain why the place is dirty. I spoke to two other hotel guests and their reply on condition of hotel was bogging, wipe you feet in the way out.... The only positive about the place was we were in good company and staff were pleasant. I've read other reviews and honestly can't believe that some customers have give better reviews it's as if they were in a different place...I hope hotel get in touch and offer an explanation and full...
