Absolutely adore this beach, it’s my go-to every time. There is a gorgeous drive here past the Beehive pub, which is a beautiful country road. We either park in the main carpark, or the free on-street parking outside the pub by the harbour. We love to sit in the sand dunes and have a BBQ, or just takes some chairs and a blanket and sit and read while the sunsets. It’s always quiet and spacious. Plenty of space to get a cosy corner to yourself. I love the harbour at the end, and regularly walk around it. The sea is VERY cold, so I don’t recommend a dip, however I see plenty of people who do go for a swim! Even without wetsuits! The dogs also love it and I enjoy walking them running up and down...

Lovely beach, clean and good access. My only concern was the amount of dogs running whilst small children were paddling, playing and eating. Many of them didn't seem to be with their owners. The child we were with is scared of dogs and even if friendly they dogs shouldnt run up without owner. Happened more than once with differet dogs. We couldn't relax on an otherwise perfect day. Owners at fault I know but some beaches don't allow dogs during peak times (2pm on a weekend afternoon) or have a part of the beach...

Seaton Sluice is a fascinating village with a rich industrial heritage. It was great to see the old coal and glass trading sites and learn about the salt pans and Sir Ralph Delaval's ingenious pier and sluice gates. The natural harbor and the history of Hartley Pans really transported me back in time. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and highly recommend it to anyone interested in...
