DoggyVIP Field & Park and Raw Dog Food Shop — Attraction in Sefton

First visit. We took 3 of our dogs, one boisterous Staffy and two Collies who don't really like strange people or dogs coming into their adventure times. With the awful weather we had not been able to visit the beach as usual, and our regular walks were getting too muddy, and the dogs frankly were bored. So I looked this place up, we booked it online, easy, it was confirmed and a very detailed email came to give us the instructions. We booked an early slot and unfortunately the rain didn't give us a rest, we had wellies and a coat for the wimpy Staff so we braved it. And when the dogs realised we hadn't healed them, or got the leads out despite being in a field with sheep and chickens around to round up/scare, and the little Staffy was allowed to run with them too. Their little faces lit up!. They had tunnels and ramps to use and someone had even put huge puddles in there for them to run through!. They were having so much fun we didn't even move out of the first field. So we will be returning soon for further adventures VIP style. And although we were absolutely soaked, we were relaxed because it was safe and we didn't have to watch out for people approaching or our Staffy adopting himself of to another family. Overall a fab experience and much more fun to be had....

I have been looking for a secure field to exercise and train my dogs for some time so to find the Doggy VIP Field so close to my home was fantastic. Booking online is easy, prices are reasonable and there is good communication from Sam. I have visited many times now and find everything clean and well organised. There is good parking, the fields are flat with lovely grass and totally secure . If you have a reactive or nervous dog this is the ideal place to take them for a relaxing off lead walk/run. It is great that the Doggy VIP Field in Formby now has a shop selling Raw Dog Food. I was there recently and stocked up with food for my three dogs from “The Dogs Butcher”. It is great to buy my raw food locally because I can pick it up saving on the delivery charge. There is no problem parking. Also I can buy weekly instead of in bulk saving space in my freezer! I am sure other people using the fields and those living locally who feed raw also welcome the opportunity to buy their Raw Dog Food at Doggy VIP Field.

This is not a place to bring your anxious dog! We brought our 2 dogs, one a puppy, the other a 3yr old who is very anxious, and can sometimes be aggressive. There was a big hole in the fencing where she could see straight through to the other field, beside us. The only thing separating the 2 was a fence…! On the website, it states that this is a very secure and safe park for your dog/dogs, however the latter contradicts that. We have been to multiple different dog parks, which have all been brilliant, other than this one. We felt it was all for show, the adventure area was like something from Crufts, only it was more like a death trap. The amount of cameras and cctv was ridiculous. We constantly felt like we were being watched and couldn’t enjoy the time we had with our dogs because of this. I feel the owners of the farm need to state that the 2 fields are in very close proximity, so if you have an anxious dog, this wouldn’t be a suitable place to bring them.
