Furzton Lake — Attraction in Shenley Brook End

Service at the bar was brilliant and stopped, this being a 1 star review. Service was slow. 30-minute wait for starter. Plates cleared promptly, but the main meal and kids' meals did not arrive promptly. After 25 mins, we chased our mains, and the veggie one burger came out with the kids' meal and another main. The other meals came out 5 mins later. The veggie one was missing the mint yoghurt. We questioned why no onion rings with veggie burger to be told fried in the same fryer as meat. How come on side menu onion rings ate marked as vegetarian. Kids' meal beans looked like they had been reheated numerous times. Hunters chicken, the chicken was stone cold. My bro discovered this after eating the chips first. When he took it to the bar to ask for it to be heated up as it is stone cold, he was told well you left it to last to eat it! Normally this place is good for a reasonably priced meal but today failed. Poor customer service and the food was not up to spec. Even forgot sweetcorn side...

We love furzton lake, it's perfect to walk around slowly with the kids or to go round on our bikes. It's around 7km around the whole lake and is a really easy run to do. There's plenty of places for shade on a hot day and the views are lush if you pick a nice spot. There's a nice area for feeding the ducks and plenty of open grass for picnics. There's a heron that lives on the lake and if you sit long enough you'll see her flying round and fishing. There's designated areas for fishing with platforms to set up fishing equipment. There's usually an ice cream van hanging round and there's a pub next to the lake which is lovely for a drink after you've walked round...

Furzton Lake in Milton Keynes is a great spot for a walk, jog, or just to relax. The 2.3km path around the lake is perfect for a stroll, and there’s plenty of wildlife to see, including swans and ducks. It’s a nice place for a picnic, and there’s even a café (Sul Lago) with a great view of the water. Parking is easy and free for the first 2 hours.
