On site dining was awful. With no response of acknowledgement to the feedback. Burger was dripping with grease. Candymania needs reporting to trading standards as nothing described on the menu was in the goldfish type bowl the night after (we went back thinking it was a one off). Returning the dessert, almost £7. The service was the worst ,I have ever experienced. Showing me the Carte Dor sized tub, saying "its all mixed in". I laughed so hard at the fact they thought that was a decent explanation! "Well? What's missing?". I got the menu and pointed saying "I want that!". Ultimate Candymainia🫣 Starting with chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream, laced (!) with cookie dough pieces, topped with multi coloured chocolate pieces(!) ,caramel biscuit finger(!) ,whipped cream , chocolate flavoured sauce. But apparently, "its all mixed in!", showing me the tub. They barred me from coming back and I spoke to the real manager in the morning (who knows, neither were professional so ,I can't actual confirm if either of them were the main manager, they all claimed to be). I asked to see her and went back to stand out side being responsible. She came out "You're not welcome here!". My son was with me and I gestured towards him due to her clear agitation on arrival. Told her " I dont want to come back, I'm here to give you a chance to fix this". Asking "do you know why I got barred?" She said because you were abusive", I replied " not really, I got barred when I took a photo of the four staff members facing me at the time"!. We had so many memories there, we regularly (pre covid) ,hired upstairs for baptisms, birthdays (my 40th) and regular family gatherings with family from all over England and Ireland. All those memories marred by this unprofessional, disrespectful and Intimidating treatment. I am staying at the Premier Inn which is lovely, my stay could last a month or so. I now have to go out several times to cater for myself and my 7 year old son. He got upset and I explained, "mummy didn't do anything wrong, but those people are bullies and what they're doing is wrong". So many things wrong with this treatment!!!!🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣 May have to move hotels now due to this unappealing inconvenience. The onsite dining will kill your...
Read moreI enjoyed my stay here at the Premier Inn (Furzton lake), but with a couple of caveats which I'll get to later.
It's set in a wonderful lakeside location which is very picturesque, and you can also walk around the lake if you want to. The hotel is easy to get to and has ample parking which is free for guests of the hotel. There are also electric car charging stations too. It's situated right next to a Hungry Horse restaurant and has a restaurant on site at the hotel as well. The room was clean and tidy, although I don't think the TV remote had been wiped down in a little while.
The site had no chef at the time I stayed, so my choice was continental breakfast or go somewhere else. I decided to go somewhere else due the day I had planned ahead needing a substantial breakfast! They were very apologetic about this, but it was inconvenient nonetheless. Luckily there was a beef eater restaurant a short drive away which I went to instead - ironically at another Premier Inn location!
The room didn't have air conditioning, only a radiator and thermostat. I was lucky as it was a cool summer evening when I stayed, but the room was at 24 degrees C when I got in, and only cooled slightly with the window open wide and a fan on max speed. The fan was left in the room so I'm guessing the room temperature is a frequent complaint! I would imagine the room would be very uncomfortable on a hot summer's night, so beware of the weather when staying here!
I would come back here, but only in cool or...
Read moreStayed here for 3 nights over the weekend. The room was of a good standard (which you’d expect of a premier inn). Everything was clean and tidy, the reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. Thanks so much for carrying the ironing board to my room for me! I like how you can help yourself to tea, coffee and sugar/milk sachets for your room. Having stayed at other premier inns I actually thought the breakfast was of a good standard. One day the chef was poorly so we couldn’t have a cooked option, which happens and I felt sorry for the staff as they were working very hard that day. The location on the lake is lovely! Perfect for an afternoon/late evening stroll. My only issue and it’s really not anyone’s fault it’s just the design of the hotel.. the room itself was exceptionally hot and there is no air con. The fan we first had didn’t work properly , so on day two I asked for another one , and thank goodness that one worked! Because it would have been unbearable without. The temperature outside during the day got up to about 25c , so it was hot for Britain, but even at night/early morning when it was 10c outside, the room didn’t seem to cool at all. Even with the window open. The room stayed constant at about 28c the whole time. We went with friends and all rooms were the same. If there was air con this would have made the stay perfect , bcos the rooms clearly get very muggy and stuffy. So I’m just saying if you’re going and the weather is above 20c then bring...
