Worst unprofessional Staff I have ever come across and I have met a few. Arrived Friday 14th 3pm for a family get together (13) of us we sat in the corner for drinks and was enjoying the afternoon, when this only can be described as, Obnoxious and rude female member of staff told us to move to the bar area as we were sat in a reserved spot, we explained that we were eating and was it possible to stay in this area due to our large group to be told No move. So we moved to the bar area no one came to said reserved area all evening, we stayed until 10.15pm then took my 12 year old Daughter back to the attached Premier Inn. On the Saturday we arrived at 9pm sat in the same area previous night to then be told by the same Obnoxious rude girl (who refused to give her name (Ugly Blonde Thing Goofy Teeth and Glasses)that my daughter had to leave when she was sat in the corner with us playing her IPad with headphones on so no trouble or noise or running around, when we asked why she rudely said because I said so, I asked to speak to the manager who called himself Kyle to explain the reasoning behind having to leave he said no children in the Bar after 9.30pm I explained it was not a problem the night before when he was there working. He replied SHE WAS LUCKY !!!, I didn’t want to cause a scene so left with my daughter leaving our family of now 20 in the bar, The rude Blonde obnoxious bar maid thing, then Hi fived Kyle as if a victory bet had been one, I approached the staff at the Premier in and asked has this happened before to which she said ‘’ no never’’ she printed off the rules of the Hungry Horse and nowhere does it state that children have to leave at 9.30pm Nor are there any signs to state this. I asked the member of Staff at the Premier in to explain this to Kyle she came into the bar with me and stated the rules but he point blank said It was up to him and no we could not come back and join our family, The then Obnoxious dumb Blonde Bar Maid, refused to serve our remaining guests majority of whom were pensioners, It spoiled our evening and we have all vowed to never return to the Hungry Horse Furzton Lake absolutely disgusted the service was slow yet they seem to prefer to chat and insult customers the toilets reeked of Urine and not cleaned with toilet paper left on the floor, the last insult was, accusing me of swearing when asked who to ? Kyle said the Obnoxious Blonde barmaid. I said I never swore his reply was we have a witness on further Investigation by my wife after I had left he said the witness coincidently was Kyle (LIES to justify his actions I believe), when we left the Premier in who by the way were outstanding Himaayath must get a mention for his professionalism and courtesy throughout our stay , said I hope you enjoyed to which I replied apart from the Hungry Horse it was a lovely weekend with family he replied you’re not the first person to complain about the staff there. Hopefully this email will go a long way to rectifying the problems with young inexperienced no social skilled young upstarts who think they actually own the pub Shame they are letting the good name of...

I recently dined at The Hungry Horse at Furzton Lake, and while I had a few positive experiences, overall, I left feeling quite disappointed. I'll break down my review based on different aspects of my visit.
Food: The main course was actually quite nice. I enjoyed the flavors and the quality of the dishes. However, my disappointment arose when I discovered that desserts could not be ordered after 9 pm on a Saturday. In my opinion, this seemed excessively early, and it took away from the overall dining experience.
Service: Unfortunately, the manner in which we were quickly moved from the restaurant to the main bar area was quite abrupt. It felt as though we were being rushed out, which didn't contribute to a pleasant atmosphere. The transition could have been handled with more tact and consideration for the guests.
Drinks: To make matters worse, when we reached the bar area, we were informed that several drinks were unavailable due to a broken gas system. It was disheartening to have such limited choices and a lack of transparency regarding this issue. This significantly affected the enjoyment of our evening.
In conclusion, although I may consider giving The Hungry Horse at Furzton Lake another chance in the future, I cannot recommend it in its current state. The early cutoff for dessert orders, the abrupt transition from the restaurant to the bar, and the unavailability of drinks due to a broken gas system all contributed to a disappointing experience. I hope the management takes these issues into account and improves upon them, as there is potential for a more enjoyable dining experience at this...
Read moreWorst place I could ever recommend eating. This restaurant is a health hazard, full stop. What I imagined to be a nice meal out with my family turned into an absolute nightmare. Not only were the staff rude and extremely unhelpful, the restaurant itself was extremely filthy, filled with dead bugs, massive cobwebs and cat fur. Glasses provided to us were disgustingly dirty with remnants of food and when asked for this to be changed, four more glasses were presented exactly the same. Staff were rude and commented on how they were having a bad day and how the broken dishwasher was not their fault and we should have been grateful for what we were given. The staff allowed a cat to stroll in the restaurant and jump on the tables and when bringing this forward due to a severe allergy in my family, the staff said the cat lived in the restaurant. When asked for the cat to be removed as it may cause one of my family members to be hospitalised, the staff were very rude and said this was the fourth complaint they had that day regarding the cat. One of the chefs opened the kitchen door to shout across the restaurant to one of the members of staff and there was an array of broken egg shells all over the floor, with food dripping off the sides, raw meat kept on the sides and over flowing bins. My family ordered steak and when it arrived it was pale grey, and smelt like it was gone off and had simply been warmed up. This restaurant has been reported to the environmental health team. Please be aware if you are planning on eating here, you may find yourself extremely unwell. This restaurant is not...
