ACEarts — Attraction in Somerton

I love this beautiful space. It's just 10 minutes from my home so I am extremely lucky to be able to "pop in" whenever. The town of Somerton is full of beautiful buildings to admire. The ceiling of the church is a wonderful to behold and there are some fabulous little independent shops to browse too. The ACEarts centre has a wonderful gallery upstairs which plays host to some great art. Most recently I have enjoyed seeing the beautiful Red Dress exhibition and currently some astonishing work by Sian Cann (please do check her out on Facebook) Downstairs there is some amazing art, jewellery, sculpture, cards and gifts available to buy and a lovely cafe too. This is a wonderful creative project and charity supporting the arts and disadvantaged groups throughout Somerset. It is raising the bar in terms of showcasing the incredible creative talents of many people who live in the county and further afield. The shop has many beautiful examples of hand made items of different types and there is usually an interesting free exhibition upstairs which the stair lift allows my disabled wife to access.
