We were very much looking forward to trying this new restaurant having looked at the menu online, however on arrival we were told that the dishes are actually ‘tapas’ and to order 2-3 per person – no mention of this on the menu online. Whilst we love tapas, we were quite disappointed that the prices did not reflect this - £16 for a small tapas dish is extortionate. The restaurant that was there before this one did not survive as they overpriced their dishes – we were hoping this would not be the case for Alfredos but if you were to order 3 per person then it would work out as even more expensive than the previous restaurant! Our friends attended on the same evening and made the same comments as us regarding the pricing etc – such a shame! I can also imagine that if there is a big group of you attending for a party then the tapas style may not suit or be too complicated, it would be nice to have some non tapas options (rather than just pizza). Alfredos was going to be our go to restaurant but unfortunately, we won’t be rushing back. Having said this, the food that we were served was very tasty (just not much of it!) and the service...

From start to finish, the entire experience was simply exceptional. The atmosphere is wonderfully warm and inviting, in a beautifully restored building in Market Place, retaining charm yet feeling modern.
The service deserves major praise, atentive, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic. The staff were welcoming throughout and made the evening feel truly special.
As others have raved, the food was out of this world. The sourdough pizzas have an incredible depth of flavour, while the small sharing style dishes let you taste a range of delights.
I also explored their wine list, it’s both interesting and surprisingly extensive for the area, with excellent Italian selections at fair prices.
Everything was beautifully presented and tasted divine. Alfredo’s really stands out as a hidden gem in Somerset, ideal both for a fun casual night out and a memorable celebratory dinner.
Highly recommend for birthdays or any special occasion - you genuinely won’t be disappointed. I can’t...
Read moreFrom the moment we walked into Alfredo’s, we were wowed by the place. The decor is brilliant, and it's amazing how spacious it feels inside—like a Tardis! All the staff were incredibly friendly and kind, explaining the menu a couple of times to help us feel confident in our choices.
Their menu is inspired by Cicchetti, the Venetian small plates similar to Spanish tapas, which gave us the perfect opportunity to explore multiple dishes. The extensive wine menu could be overwhelming, but our waitress took great care of us and helped us choose the perfect bottle.
We started with the pickles, focaccia, almonds, and olives, then each had a pizza. I had the Maialino, which was absolutely delicious, especially with the garlic mayo dip for the crusts. We each tried different pizzas, and every bite was a joy.
The atmosphere was lovely, and the waitresses made us feel truly special. We highly recommend Alfredo’s and will definitely...
